How to Learn Guitar SOLOS and MELODIES | Easy, Effective Method
Most beginner and intermediate students have a difficult time developing a strategy for learning and memorizing melodies and solos. Here I give a professional strategy that simply works: chunking. We will go through a very simple common melody together and I will give you the steps to memorize and internalize any melody or solo, beginner to advanced.

Thanks for the lesson. I have a similar approach, but it’s not as refined as this. First solo I learned was from Nirvana’s cover of Lake Of Fire. I’ve since forgotten it ????
Red River Valley (Mel Bay, I think). Still playing it decades later but trying to channel some Bill Frisell now. Great lessons BTW!!
I'm a horrible guitar player but this is my method for learning songs. Break the parts into small bites and work through them until it's clean and accurate. Then move to the next bite. I've always tried to encourage others to use the same technique and they look at me like I have three heads.
