Matt Rybicki is a renowned bassist, author, and educator from Cleveland, Ohio. He has performed and/or recorded with acclaimed jazz artists including Wynton Marsalis and the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, Ted Rosenthal, Terell Stafford, Mark Whitfield, Gerald Clayton, and Ulysses Owens. Matt has traveled around the world for performances and presentations at concert halls and festivals in places ranging from Italy, to Qatar, Spain, and Taiwan. He has also presented at the 2013 International Society of Bassists Convention in Rochester, NY. Currently on faculty at The Juilliard School and the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, Matthew has authored books for Hal Leonard Corp., including Ray Brown: Legendary Jazz Bassist, and co-authored The Goldmine Series for Bass, both of which were released in 2015. He released his debut album, Driven, in 2009.
