What's your favourite "small amp, big tone" choice?
Sound great for being so small!
Interesting that it's a take on an Orange. With a name like Meteor II I would have guessed Engl Powerball.
I liked the cleans most of all. 2:37 sounds like a Tele.
Imagine what a deal these will be when they show up on the used market…if anyone ever wants to sell them.
Geez now I feel like collecting them,,, they sound nice
That Les Paul and that amp are best mates. It's a lovely thing that they have found each other.
Psh loud IS MORE good. Pshhhh I done did graduated hooked on phonics uncle Leon! ???? IM A YANK! I GET TO MAKE THAT JOKE! YOU HAVE DROP BEARS! YOU WOT M8?!? Edit: I want this amp now… thanks ????????????
I was just looking at them last night. It's about what I expected with very well selected valve topology and solid-state topology and hearing a bit of the best of both worlds meaning, the tube fizz is slightly there but the solid-state meanness and sleaze is definitely there.
In my journey through buying gear and designing and building original gear, I've simply learned that people that are proponents of valves and opponents of S.S. amps want fizz, zing, and glitter dominant texture as opposed to meanness and raunch. I'm right there with those folks but still more over on the side of S.S.
This is why my current design combines a variety of clipping techniques for different tonal ranges and the switching mechanisms rather than toggle channels entirely will switch in and out different topologies for the dirty channel relative to a Lee Jackson Era Crate with lead distortion and classic/rhythm distortion cept my design has tube zing and fizz that can be switched on and off for specific tonal ranges you want it in, the sleaze as well.
If I ever bother to get it finished, I'll send you one lol
G'day Uncle Leon, I made your Greeny neck pickup yesterday, its quite different so I hope you like it.
Haven’t tried this one. I liked the zombie and the one based on the blues jr. They are a lot of fun for the money.
This range of little amps are so impressive, and cheap enough to collect them all, I'm definitely grabbing one if I come across them in the future.
I …… don't hate this one, even the cleans have a nice bite.
Not sure of the market for this when Orange already make the Micro versions.
Love a bit of Riff Raff ????
2nd…(now i started i cant stop)…
????????
