We know it's not Monday, but we couldn't wait to set this video live with Ben's performance at the very end… ????
Let us know what you think below!
Bravo Ben, very nice playing!! Bravo Captain, your presentation is really good and cool!! Do you think, that it is possible play gig with this amp fot 40-50 people?
Does this amp have a looper?
Ben's singing is as dazzling as guitar playing
i use this with a Fender Acoustasonic Jazzmaster and it's really fantastic
Don’t be lazy, go and fetch a nylon strung off the wall
Heard its very quiet
Very nice Captain….I follow you sometimes and is always great! Be safe man … Cheers..
Awesome amp, except I cannot seem to use a wah wah pedal with it while having a wireless guitar connection. I've tried expression pedal Hotone Soul Tone 2, with AIRSTEP. Can't assign a wah sound as the AMP doesn't have a wah effect. Only Chorus, flanger, temelo and phaser…..so any ideas a wah is a must!!
WIRELSS YAMAHA WAH? Do they even make one..?? Thoughts??
I do not want a cable from my guitar, as buying this gear was all for the purpose of being wireless.
Solutions anyone??
Would this be loud enough for casual farmers market, brewery patio, etc type settings?
I'm also considering the Fishman loud box, but from YouTube I can't see that the Yamaha sounds better even though it's more expensive. Why would I choose the Yamaha over the Fishman, what advantages does it have?
Hi Captain Anderton and Ben. Like to say thanks for a great demonstration of the THR30IIA Wireless amp.
I got one for Christmas, only found out about the app watching your tutorial. I tried downloading the acoustic app, but could only find the electric guitar app.
When I connected via Bluetooth the app automatically changed to the Acoustic guitar format.
Thanks again, Steve
????
I kinda play both acoustic and electric guitar . The question I have (being on a budget) is in the software can you save electric guitar mods with the acoustic amp. To say that another way, is the software the same for all the thr amps?
Yamaha THR30II wireless or the Fender Princeton tone master? (i do own the old THR10C btw)
Just to add some balance. The sound is not bad, but not great for nylon no matter which modelling option u use. To me the chorus reverb and delays sound harsh and the Wider functions make it sound worse. To be fair it may be better for metal strings. I am posting this as I have not heard any negatives and I purchased this on the strength of the reviews. It's gonna cost me over £30 to send it back so for me a waste of time and money. As Lee implies the bells and whistles all make it sound worse. Sorry.
Unstructured and confusing.
Never hear the mic phone
Hey Captain, i hope you could also make a review about PA speakers like fender passport series, JBL Eon compact, etc and comparisons in the future. Thanks.
You talk too much. Don't talk, play!
Great vocals Ben!
Ben's singing and the Cole Clarke win this session.
Would have been nice to try different guitar other then the Cole Clark .
素晴らしいプレゼンテーション!
It works great for bass live outside too.
This body on the right is full of shit sorry I don't know his name
Hear that outro, ben is the greatest captain of andertons. (I am mainly an acoustic player). More Ben in Andertons YouTube please
Does it output to speakers or built in speakers?
No one can or wants to talk about the wireless guitar connection. I understand there are "buzz" issues…..and no one mentions that the volume cuts in half when running on battery and half of that to each channel (R/L).
????Just bought the THR3011A together with the Line6 G10TII transmitter, had high hopes of going wireless. Unfortunately, when using my Martin dreadnaught D48, which is a great guitar, I get a very annoying low buzz/hum from the amp – disappears if I use a lead, but was seeking a wireless set-up. Has anyone else had this problem? Would love to know how to fix it. Alan, Bristol, UK.
I have the THR30II Wireless and I use it all the time with acoustic guitars. Since I'm a beginner to intermediate for me the main reason is to hook it up with a looper. I absolutely love my THR. Best sounding small amp. I have a Fender Mustang LT-25, Kustom Sienna and a JBL Eon one. Unless more power needed I only use my yamaha. It's that good and versatile. I would love to have this one as well, but I'm not sure for just acoustic settings would worth it for me. Great review as always. I love your channel! Thank You!
Great video, guys. Just bought this to amp up my baritone Uke for jamming with bigger boys with proper guitars. Loved the vibe of the chat. Thanks! ????????
Pretty much a perfect little amp for small gigs. Also, Yamaha make the ‘Silent’ range of acoustic instruments. This fits perfectly with their silent guitars. They pack down to a very lightweight and portable size for travelling. Add this little battery powered amp to the mix, and you’ve got a super lightweight, portable and cordless rig.
Can Yamaha THR 30 II Acoustic Wireless handle electric guitars, too?
Question. What does it sound like if you have an Acoustic instrument (Guitar or Uke) with a good pickup system if you use the the Yamaha THR3011 (not acoustic model) wireless Amp ? If you use the various settings (Crunch, Lead, Hi Gain, Modern, Boutique, Classic). Will the acoustic instrument through the amp then sound like an electric guitar (not acoustic electric) ? Seems like there is more choices for sounds on the non acoustic version. Trying to understand if you should only use the acoustic amp version if you have acoustic guitar or uke or if you can use the non acoustic amp and have more sounds, including an acoustic sound. Thanks.
This amp sounds metallic af. Just tried it in the music store. Roland RW-33 – Cheaper and much better sounding option. It's also pretty. Don't buy Yamaha. Here, I saved you time and money. You're welcome ????????
This sounds horrible, and I have the THR30ii which is awesome.
Can you adjust the volume of the bluetooth audio stream independently like you can with the THR30II? How?
Great review! I just bought one and connected a PG58 to mic input but there’s a lot of background noise. Should I get a different mic? Also, will it work ok with a Variax500 with acoustic modeling?
I miss 3-4 broken cups!
