  • It’s been 15 years since I’ve owned a solid state amp. It jumps out at me how infinitely more useful this is than those Origin Series Amps you reviewed recently. This MG is a nice sounding practice amp and great for what it is. ????????

  • Gahd Dayum this video, your playing, really is selling me on this Amp even thought I can't play anywhere close to that yet.

  • Hello!
    Great review, but I'm wondering…
Which would be better for metal/high gain tones: MG30GFX or Vox VT20X?
Similar price, Marshall with More power or Vox with Tube?

I'm looking for 'good sound for my own pleasure' type of Amp – home use, for myself.

  • The MG series are decent but not amazing. In general just use the clean channel with bass set at 1 mod and treble at 10 then pedals for drive or distortion. The built in fx are usable.

  • Any alternative for all-rounder home amp? Good for whole spectrum, from blues/country, hard rock to heavy/death metal? As it is only practice ampnfor home use, I don't want to spend morenthan 150-180Eur/Usd

  • My God. Reading the comments, it's either fantastic or garbage. I have a 15w Voxx, and it just doesn't have enough power for gigging. I was looking at this as an alternative.

  • Great review, I must say I literally just got this amp and it does nothing as you shown in the video. I followed along while you changed things and I copied it. My opinion this amp is 100% garbage. I got it because my line 6 need to get fixed as it has no distortion and only clean, this is pretty much the same. Distortion sucks, yours sounded great. That’s why I got this amp was for distortion. And it’s nothing like the review. Sadly. I have fender guitars from the custom shop, PRS and I know you’re using a different guitar but the distortion should not be that different. Any suggestions I’m all ears.

  • Nice review. This seems like the best combo amp I've heard. The clean, crunch, and distortion settings sound high quality. Most of the time, the crunch tones on combo amps are horrible. The effects actually sound like they're coming from pedals too.

  • Was at a gig watching a band play and was really impressed by the sound the guitarist was getting….little Marshall combo which I assumed was a DSL but when I got closer saw it was, much to my surprise, a Marshall MG30! Sounded great!

  • In YouTube are many videos saying that this amplifier completely sucks, but Im not agree I have this one and is true is not the best Marshall amplifier but for the price and for guitar practie for me is a good option and in my opinión It sounds well with Boss pedals at the clean channel but everyone has his own opinion
