  • I bought my fender out of the back of a guy's car trunk for 40 bucks he said his son had purchased it back in the 70s and left it in a closet just left it so I got the squire and a little fender amp it played ok but I pulled the pick board off of it, pickups and all and purchased one with two humbuckers and a single wound on it I don't even have 60 bucks in it and it's just fine, but I prefer my Epiphone.

  • A used Mexican-made standard Strat is the best starter electric guitar in my opinion. If you (or your kid) give up on playing it after six months, you can sell it on for around what you paid for it.

  • I’m just became a proud owner on this exact Squire color and everything. I’m still very much a beginner, only just started being serious about it when the guitar came. Yet, my mom and dad played guitar but my dad had a black and White standard Strat in the early 90’s. When he passed away in 94 I trying teaching myself with it and a poster on the wall in his hobby room. My brother wanted the guitar for some reason my mom wouldn’t allow me to keep it and kind of forced me to just let it go. Even when my bother offered that if I actually wanted it I could keep it. My mom gave me her classical Yamaha from the 60’s and I was trying to figure out what was making me so reluctant to pick it up and learn. I figured it out then looked up the differences between the classical vs the electric guitar. From what I read the two or three main annoying parts about the classical could be easier on the electric. Which it totally has been and I’ve picked up the Squire to play nearly everyday since I got my hands on it.

  • I have owned American strats, Mexican and Squiers. Bought this exact guitar for $99 on black Friday, it’s great! I use it at gigs.

  • I got one for $99. I'm extremely satisfied with the fit and finish. It's sturdy and well built. Definitely far above the Chinese guitars. Buy this !

  • You can't expect any Stratocaster trem to stay in tune without setup. Once properly set up, it will always stay in tune.

  • I still have a Squier Silver Series MIJ strat that I bought in 1991. I recently sold my American Strat because I didn't like the neck compared to the Squier neck. My workhorse is a LP standard, but I won't ever get rid of the Squier.

  • I bought a Squire Strat and it was everything you said. I plugged it into a Marshall and the feedback was crazy…took it back and got an Epiphone Les Paul!!! Still love it 25 years later…the Squire is nice but need the pickups replaced

  • I’ve had/ played a ton of guitars and these are one of the best values out there. The specs are great! I wouldn’t change a thing.

  • I understand the Sonic replaced the Bullet. I loved the Bullet's thinner (lighter) strat body and satin is always nice on a neck.

  • I hadn't realized I'd gotten the baby. The output jack was a straight one on the edge. It felt to crowded. I just felt like I'd half-assed it. So I returned it and got the full-size.

  • What I can't figure out is how many of "I bought the cheapest ___ on ___ videos" we really need. Well, I can figure it out, and I must say, it is better than uploading bootleg lifetime movies to achieve the uploaders ultimate 1,000,000 views or subs goal.

  • intonation issues lol they are made to be put right by the end user,,,erm that means YOU, for instance if you play cowboy chords and dont venture up the forbidden dusty end of the neck you'll be fine right outa da box. nit pickin indeed.
