  • Thank you Keyan! I have just started working on 7 strings. and learning Neural amp. I traded a Shecter c6 for a Shecter Demon 7. I am pretty stoked with this trade. I appreciate what you do and these tones sound fantastic!

  • Your tone is basically all in your fingers and your pickups.. once I learned that my gear expenses dropped significantly. Sure, it's great to own "nicer gear" but we don't need it, do we? Plenty of well known artists that tour arenas exclusively play guitars that are below the $1000 mark. They have the money to have all custom builds, but they see through the scams. All you need is a functional instrument that does the job.

  • I love my Ibanez RG7321. I did some upgrades to it and it sounds fucking gnarly. No need for me to get something different… Unless I could get a custom with a black/yellow crackle paint job— which I could probably do myself.

  • If it works it works… Doesn't matter if it's cheap or expensive… But it has to work ????

  • Is there any difference between mixing with this and the Gio GRG7221M? I just got the white one on afterpay is why I ask ???? im kinda trying to use this for the heavy shit and my Oscar Schmidt OE20G for leads. I'm using Bias FX2 but it sounds fizzy as hell ????????????

  • Yes and No. As a 37 year old who can afford the higher end stuff. It is reassuring that if I ever decide to sell off some or all of mine gear its nice to know it retains the value if its cared for. For me that is huge. Lately guitar gear has maintained a high return on investment . As far as playability anything above the entry level range is going to play just fine with a good setup from a qualified luthier or you if you learn.

  • Sounds like you might be influenced a bit by Devin Townsend, judging by those tracks. Nice atmosphere.

  • I just bought a $100 jackson
    I shit you not
I actually like playing it over the other 3 guitars I have, one of which was over $1000 after tax.
Don't get me wrong, when it got to my house it had horrendous issues. Cheap tuning gears didn't hold for shit, shitty sharp bridge dug into my hand very sharply & the action never could get high enough. But after dropping another $80 on some better hardware just from amazon, it plays amazingly.
Total, thats like a $190 guitar & it gets the most usage.

The pickups are extremely gainy and not very clear, but again, pretty cheap fix, which I intend to do soon.
Overall, that's like… gonna be somewhere around $250-$300 for an amazing guitar, to my preference anyways.
Meanwhile i have a $1000 one that collects dust (:

  • to think after having this on here as a plug in vid, you fully made it into what is one of my fave songs out atm. love it

  • I think for the player it matters a whole lot. However, if set up stellar and tone dialled in suitable a listener would barely notice a difference.
But we're music folks, we live these details.

  • Hey folks, all of you remarking on the gear that makes this one sound great. Most reviews on these cheaper Ibanez guitars claim string buzzing playing high on the neck, and constantly having to tune! Many remarks are, "tweak a string in a riff and you'll immediately have to tune that string!"
    ^..^~~

  • And you can always start saving and doing upgrades, upgrade the pickups, upgrade the tuners, etc

  • Guitar players in this day and age are lucky. A 250$ guitar back in the day was pretty much junk.

  • soundwise is about the same an expensive guitars feels way way better than an entry level guitar, all this entry level guitars they are good but a high end guitar is way more comftable to play

  • I like how you combined a pretty straightforward and honest review of a piece of gear (what I actually clicked on this video for) with a production and "stress testing" type video that created a sweet track at the end. Really well done review.

  • It depends on what gear we’re talking about. The instrument itself is the least important though. So long as a guitar looks and feels nice to you it is a perfectly good guitar. Everything else most definitely makes a difference though.

  • Nah I shit you both I got one of these last year from Facebook marketplace place for £75. Best £75 I’ve ever spent and it’s got no bumps or scratches on it and still looks brand new to this day.
