Where is this head made? China?
Far too expensive. For the same price you can get an ENGL Savage II or an EVH Stealth 100. Buying a Blackstar over either those is stupid.
Here I am a BLUES LAWYER sitting here with my PRS CUSTOM CORE WOOD LIBRARY all suited up on my way to sue someone checking this out based on a friend's recommendation to check this channel out and I'm in utter DISMAY. I'm here waiting to hear some CLAPTON style riffs but I hear none. WHY?!!?? Also, why no TABS so I can practice riffs and learn while watching???!!!!
I always heard good things about blackstar but never had the occasion to play one. I'll stick with my Marshalls but I do like to hear about the new stuff too.

Is this really happening ???????? a new video got posted yesterday by some bloke I’ve never heard saying stuff about Schecter and just so happens that 1 of the guitars he was going to talk about was/is the very Schecter guitar that I’d literally cancelled the order on, yesterday, cos despite being told back in august it’d take 3-4 months to get the guitar, which I said ok to, absolute silence from Schecter on where the guitar is, so needless to say, I’ve had enough waiting, cos it should’ve been here by now, in regards to this Blackstar amp ???? after having to hold out, finally about 6-7 weeks ago I bought the Blackstar st James 50 head 6L6 and appropriate cab, but over the weeks I’ve come to realise a few things that could be changed, and then this video appears ???????????? just my bloody luck……
Soooo….you're one of my favourite youtuber when it comes to high gain tones and in your hands, the amp sounded good BUT…I don't know…I'd definitely need to try one for real if I can someday because there's still that ''fake'' sound to my ears for whatever reasons that I don't like. There's never been one amp from Blackstar that I ever liked a demo for and it's a shame because features wise, this amp is bonkers lol Tone for tone, I still prefer (for example) your JSX demo that you a while ago (I have one too and I love it), even if it doesn't have any really bells and whistles. But like I said I never tried a Blackstar amp for real so maybe my opinion would change. Great demo anyway!!
BTW you should do another video when you get a TRS stereo to dual mono cable and run that from the Cab Rig out as cab rig has stereo and you can have a different cab/ mic on the left and right,
$1900 is a little much, I would just get a EVH iconic and PRS mt15.
Sounds like a really well done implementation of the power section..That is the sound you would expect of the changes between those tube types!!! (Finally blackstar getting away from the isf garbage and letting the tubes do the work!!!)…TELL ME THEY LEFT THE ISF OFF>>PLEASE TELL ME!!!!
