This is the brand new Pocket Master by Sonicake – A multi effects processor that literally fits in your pocket!

I have tried all of Sonicake’s multi effects units so far but this one has impressed me the most. It’s small, but it sounds HUGE.

If you want great tones in your pocket (and why wouldn’t you?) then you need one of these!

  • I can't get it to sound that good. Do you connect it to your laptop using USB-C? Do you connect anything to the Output? What do you use to listen to it while you play/record? I tried going from the output to my audio interface, I tried headphones directly in the output, and I tried USB-C Sonicake ASIO in DAW with ASIO4ALL to use studio monitors connected to my normal audio interface.

  • Okay. It doesn't have to be micro, or battery powered. I want a good modeler with a tuner, realistic drums, lots of styles and patterns, and good looper, that plugs right into a dawless mutitracker. My tube amp just sits there nowadays. I got rid of that ever growing mass of pedalboad and connections collecting dust. I hate daw recording and sitting around a screen, but modelers are awsome.

  • It's a pity that they decided to use an internal battery not replaceable by the user.
It means that, in a few years, when it will be exhausted, everything is going to go to waste. But, on the other hand, this is the case of a lot of devices that are sold nowadays…and nobody seem to care.

  • Quick question for you!
Can this be “blue tooth’d” to ear buds?
If so, would be great for late night playing and only one cable needed.
Great demo by the way m/

  • how about an ipad rig with this as audio interface and gigfast as amps. Nam just sounds too good 🙂 The only bummer is the stereo 1/4" out instead of stereo xlr. Wonder what cable would be the best for going straight into a mixer ????

  • Great demo. This looks like a lot of fun. I've been playing a lot of shows where I've shared the stage with rotating band members and having something compact like this to use with my wireless looks perfect.

  • I usually use the line 6 pod go, but this would be great for practicing. Is it rechargable? LOL UK Metal and you play Mettallica whch is American. I still have a rockbox from the 80s so this is interesting.

  • It's closer to the gain of the first British invasion of the sixties and early seventies, maybe not as pushed as UFO, but more Kinksy.

  • I'd potentially get two or three of them because they don't have an effects loop, and use them for bracketed effect groups, i.e. ones for gain stages, modulation effects and space effects.
It could potentially be used like the new Plethora pedals, but with the ability to group patches together in each individual unit.
An ex loop would be invaluable, but they had to keep the footprint small.

  • Great review and amazing piece of kit. I’ve been playing guitar and keyboards for well over 45 years and if this thing had been around when I started playing all those years ago it would have blown my mind! Amazing what can be done with modern computer tech these days and at such a cheap price. Brilliant unit and so versatile and your demo told me all I wanted to know. Thanks for your great review.

  • That's a really cool little device. Such a big sound from something so small. I really can't believe how compact it is.
