Mooer GL100 looper. Comprehensive looping with touchscreen control.
Hello all.
This is my second video for Mooer. A whie back i reached out to them to ask them to send the Preamp X2 and when they did they very kindly included their new touchscreen enabled compact stompbox looper.
Interestingly tis is my first ever demo of a looper in 3 years of making videos. I have always played in bands and so really have no use for loopers but Mooer asked me to make the demo so I thought Id give it a go.
As a result of my never using them it took me a few attempts to be able to demo the pedal the way I wanted to which was using it as a songwriting aid. With the drummer function and the easily scrollable loop memories it does this really well.
The touchscreen makes navigation of it’s extensive feature set very easy and quick and it’s a pleasure to use. It’s also INCREDIBLY light.
All in all a great looper as far as I’m concerned but I’m no Ed Sheerin.

Thanks for the demo, it's much appreciated. These sort of overviews are the best and maybe only way to get an idea what these devices can and can't do.
Oh cool this is a great review Sir! Thank you. I used the Beatbuddy live a lot but it was too complicated in the end. I try to find something simpler / easier live. Maybe thats the one?
It's a good looper with a lot of features but it's complicated. It's not a great design, a lot of the functions are quite randomly assigned. For example, you might think that you could delete a loop from the screen that shows that loop and all it's info. But no, you have to press a button that is otherwise only used for the settings menu, while you also hold down the right footswitch. That's just one example. Becoming fluent with this looper involves a lot of memorizing. It's not particularly intuitive.
But i do hear a bit of a delay changing from a saved slot to another?
Thanks for putting this together in such a clear manner – I have one on order mainly for loading in backing tracks for solo gigs.Another useful feature is the LED time counter which if memorised or written on lyric pad/sheet helps as a prompt for verse/chorus/lead breaks etc.
could you please make the video about how to load backing tracks on the pedal? cause if it had this function too i’d love to buy it also for that !
This is a great overview / manual for the pedal! I just got one for some simple looping like I did with my DL4 in the early 2000s, but I’m saving this video for diving into the different modes.
If the loop has been stopped, you can rotate the right menu selector to select the storage position too.
Is the pedal plastic?
