06:45 — Sorry, y'all, we filmed this "live to tape" and when JB went from the Shure SM57 to the DI Cab Sim out on the Amp, (in the heat of the battle) we didn't flip the camera preamp switch from 'mic' to 'line' so that's why you not only hear a buzz (from the increased voltage/volume) but the entire signal goes berserk, or as Tim Marcus (solid dude behind Milkman) said, "I think a 57 puts out like .5V tops—the DI on The Amp can drive 12V before it starts to clip. That poor camera preamp was getting slammed with a firehose of tone from John's tasty licks." Thanks for understanding and, of course, thanks for watching!
Will this work on a Solid State amp ???
Seriously slandering the product with the camera input mishap. Should take down!
This thing is so cool. And John is such a tasteful player. Loved that arrangement of Sittin on the Dock at the top.
Oops I missed that. 54 Les Paul. Beautiful guitar
Sounds great! What year is that gold top? Just wondering.
What is the impedance for the 1/4” TRS input?
Id say the direct out had enough clipping going on. Damn.
Sittin on the dock bro!! Nice!
Can anyone reccomend a pair of headphones to use with the white milkman 50 ? Thanks
The mistakes in the video review are a serious injustice to the product. I know Premier Guitar presented a mea culpa with their mistakes, but seriously, I think they should redo the video. Having now played this amp for a couple of months and being nothing but floored, I am actually upset for Tim.
For this to work…it has to go into a Cabinet correct? Example: “Guitar cord into Amp…then cord from amp into Speaker Cab Correct?”
Can you still crank it and get it loud with no distortion?
Man, I love John and all his demos but Everytime I get a piece of gear that I seen him test out I never make it sound quite as good as him ????????
sitting on the dock of the bay…
Drive pedals into this thing sounds horrid.
Nice sound!
We know you make money man, retire those shoes
"Hell, let's just dime this pig" Gotta love it!
The milkman just got fired!????
Nice playing. Great tremello.
Is it just me or was the Cypress Hill’s “Hits From The Bong” 4:30
Sounding great Johnny boy. Legend!
I agree with a lot of the comments here: I wanted to like this amp but I didn't like the sound of it. I also found it hard to listen to this guy talk. I'm not trying to hate on the guy, I just don't understand why so many of these "demo" guitar players have to talk like some schlock-rock DJ. Why can't he/they just talk normally instead of trying to be "entertaining."
This video turned me down from buying this amp lol
Totally awesome if this thing was $200-300 would buy. Nothing like a portable tube amp. But EHX makes the 44 magnum pedal tube amp for much less cash.
It's too much to ask. A direct signal to a speaker or a board sounds like no good. Unless.
Clean sounds are nice, but the overdrive tones as pretty harsh.
John, Are you holding your sneaker together with duct tape?
Beautiful intro, John. So sweet. Steve Cropper is smiling.
Jesus Loves You
Let's just dime this pig
Does it have an effects loop?
In a world of weekly releases and deadlines, I think people need to remember that these guys have other music jobs and sessions going . Cheers for a great vid Premier G!
On a side note.
After having to go abroad for some gigs last year this seems like a great solution to airport BS!
John, why do you move the neck up and down (like at 1:49) as if it has an impact on the sound?
Awesome review!
Sister Rosetta tharpe
Nope. Hearing this amp made my dinner taste funny.
Hard to beat a P-90.
