In this lesson you’ll learn a Ronnie Earl style slow blues solo in the key of D. This lesson was inspired by the live version of Blues in D Natural. To get the tone for this lesson I used my 1966 Fender Vibrolux and the Fryette Power Station.

  • That’s some awesome playing man! Geez, I’ve been listening to your Dickey Betts stuff and the slide Derek Trucks/Duane Allman stuff and now this! You’re slamming that vibrato!
And I’m a big fan of Ronnie Earl too! I’ll have to get into this video lesson when I get the time.

  • Not trying to be a dick, But I saw this and makes me so happy to see the greatest blues player get his due.
Ok, One of then. I saw him so many times . And in the early 90s drove an hr once a week to take lessons at the Minor Chord. Not sure is still there. Was close to Ronnies house in MA.
Just me and him sitting in a little room. What a great memory. Seeing Ronnie live in the late 80s ,early 90s was wild. ANYONE THAT HAS NOT WASTCHED T BONE BOOGIE. MUST WATCH. Video not great.
But a Masterclass in Jump Blues. Ronnie is the man.

  • I like the idea of the All Access Pass, but it takes me forever to learn the free solos. Any tips (beyond practise more)?
