Heavy guitars in a mix. Some philosophies & know-how

Sculpting a guitar sound for a band context such as a recording may have it’s differences compared to playing by yourself at home. I thought it would be interesting to look at the a heavy rock/metal guitar sound from a producers point of view. So I met up with producer (and guitarist) Oscar Björk from Heartifact studio to have a chat around that. Learning about guitar sound in a band and mix context has helped me a lot in improving my productions and general work as a guitarist. If you have struggles with that I hope this video will help you to open up for new ways to look at your guitar sound and start making recordings better suited for it’s target.
