  • He also uses an octaver that adds at least two octaves above what he is playing, at least it sounds like it to me.

  • Thank you so much for this! I was trying to figure it out on a different instrument and all I was finding was tabs and super fast playthroughs. This was just the breakdown I was looking for!

  • I’m having my guitar player learn this with me, we’re gonna split it up so we can get that juxtaposition of the line against line like it sounds on the recording – I also have to sing it, so I’m sorta simplifying my bass part – switching to big strumming chords in the middle with some phat bass, then back to the groove.

  • Have fun with this one! Thundercats tracks are actually overdubbed and layers. Hint, listen to the panning on the recording. Interpretations are wonderful, don't be discouraged of you can't play exactly what's on the record. Lol keep playing. I love this interpretation. Daric is the man!

  • Cmon Maestro. I'm always impressed and love you modern bass players, but y'all really need to leave all those cords to us rhythm guys. You don't see us taking two strings off our guitars and playing bass do you. ????

  • Thanks for posting this tutorial. I love this song and I am guessing these are very close to the chords for the Isley Brothers “Footsteps in the Dark.”
