Cone on, you need to demo this with a passive fender and flat settings AT LEAST, to actually give most people grounds for comparison..
A classic pairing with a P bass with flats and you slap on a Stingray with a modern scooped tone (that personally I hate). Useless.
I have one I use regularly on top of a revsound single 15" cab w/ a 400 watt neo celestion. kILLER COMBO.

Does the current PF-50T still have to be set to 8 ohms to use without a cabinet connected?
An SVT with a 4X10 is great for small and medium sized gigs, or an SVT with an 8×10 is great for meduim or large sized gigs. This is a practice amp for the most part, and everyone needs a good practice amp so they can leave those SVT's in the van. My SVT heads (2), stayed in the van, in the midwestern summers and winters for 23 years. Still work every time out. All the experts told me that I needed to carry those behemoths into the house every night. I told them, if it breaks, I'll buy a new one. They never broke. Ampeg is good stuff. The demonstrator could use a little help twisting the knobs. This amp will sound much better than this.
next time try to model a vintage tone more thats what most of us are looking for in an ampeg amp and please DON'T CUT THE MIDS ON THIS AMP
Just use a passive bass, your fingers and a pick. Slap at the end if you want, but god damn, try to use the equipment and style the majority of players use. This is a great sounding amp and this demo doesn't do it justice.

Blah blah, slap slap. What's the actual ratio of funk/non funk bass players? Only 1 minute at the end does the demo man play a snippet of a standard-ish bass line. Sorry to bust your chops sweetwater, but we count on you for reviews of gear we otherwise couldn't hear for ourselves before ordering online
A total waste of time. Made in China. In real RMS terms the perceived
output doesn't come near my 6w class A valve amp. No depth of tone and
breaking up way too early in the gain structure. The mains hum was
dominant and disconcerting in the studio. It simply would not cut in any
gig with drums. Simply unpowered, shallow and noisy
I connected to an Ampeg PF115HE portaflex cab. V disappointed
Think you meant 2x6L6s . Can't imagine 2x6v6s pushing 50watts.
