  • I’m selling mk1 and MK2 R1s that have been sitting in the marketplace for a week! No one wants em ????‍♂️

  • I’m currently running my ACS1 MKII at the end of my chain. Should I maybe put it before delay and reverb like in this vid?

  • I have the ACS1 MKI 2.0. Cost an arm and a leg, but it's a consistent platform if you require a predictable sound. Is it worth shelling out for the drip feed of the ACS1 MKII with three additional amps and an LCD? The jury is still out. I cannot justify the upgrade given how good the mkI still sounds: although recalling preset 4 onwards on the MK1 is like the seagulls flocking around the trawler hoping that fish will be thrown back into the sea.

  • UA charges $400 for a single amp pedal. The ACS 1 mkii is $450 for 6 different amps and they all sound great. Not to mention the other features included. I don't see how this is considered overpriced.

  • I'me sorry Andertons but do you think that everybody's got a Zillion pounds to spend on effects pedals when you can buy cheaper pedals and nobody would even know. Majority of pedal reviews say that this pedal has something special about it but in reality nobody notices so why dont you do a review on cheap units agains expensive pedals in a working enviroment and then see if the extra money is worth it or if anyone even cares unless you are a pedal nut and have got to have the latest units and then find out 6 months later a Mk2 model has come out. In the enviroment that you are demonstrating these pedals Pete could make anything sound good. As for it sounds in the room, you are in the room or didn't you notice when you walked in.

  • I think this layout for the controls is about the most intuitive design I've seen. No need to study a book to figure out, just dive in. Hopefully other companies will learn from it. Now if only the Captain would see it fit to send a set my way????

  • Its a shame the ACS1 doesn't have some kind of loop so you have have the rest of the mako pedals in the headphone out.

  • How can I ignore pedals that cost $400-450? Some of my best playing guitars don't cost that much. But never mind, if you guys "….can hear that harmonic distortion that stops it from being sterile…"(3:00) then I believe!!!

  • I have the Walrus ACS1 with the firmware update. It is great and has never left my pedal board. I run the deluxe reverb with a 2×12 cab setting and a slight breakup. I use a Wampler Belle to give it a little bump. There is no need for an amp modeler. Great for front of house and into floor monitor in front. The stereo out is wonderful.

  • Everyone’s trying to compete with the DSM Humboldt SX. That amp pedal saves you what $20-$30? and it doesn’t sound nearly as good. If they knocked off $300 then it would make sense. ????

  • As a user of the mk1 delay, it is glitchy with MIDI (both v1 and v2) and the sweep of the mix knob is not good. The MIDI works, but will sometimes not show the tap tempo correctly (I double and triple checked all my settings). On the mix knob, the main problem is that if you want to dial in a subtle delay, you don't have much sweep with work with. It goes from barely audible to way too much very quickly. If you are are playing shoegaze, probably not a problem for you. If you want subtle delay, you might be frustrated. I wonder what they have changed or not with the mark 2 version.

  • Not sure if you found out about they’re called the Mako series as they all have a SHARC dsp chip inside them.
These all sound good but I did sell my M1 a while ago, the main reason being that I couldn’t get up to unity and so turning the pedal on gave a big drop in volume. Shame as they sound great.
Apparently that’s been sorted now but thought I’d say in case ????

  • Here we go again, this month's overpriced pedals, by three of these and it'll cos you £1,137, the Captain said they should sound better than the previous models, so are they going to reimburse you all that money you spent the first time, NO!!!! wait till the MK3 or MK4-5-6 or even better MK10 or higher you'll make them multi Millionaires, and it won't make you play any better, buy a ZOOM or BOSS Multi FX, you'll get all the sounds you want in one very versatile and programable, save your own patches, unit, don't waste your hard earned cash, there's a new range by different manufacturers every one or two months, which are supposed to be the best, wait and see who 's turn it is next month.

  • Not really underrated, we know they sound good. That said a lot of things sound as good and cost less. Midi isnt for everyone and niether is 500$ for one sound from a pedal. It perfect for a handful of musicians but not that many.

  • I won't deny that all the pedals sound great… But they are cost prohibitive to your average working class guitarist…

  • To much for what they are I’d say a 300 dollar price point is better but they are cool for that compact

  • These do not sound much better than old or mid range multi effect pedals. Im pretty sure you can get all these tones in a fender mustang or old boss floor unit.
