The only negative thing I can say about Eddie’s play is,….he somehow, someway, unintentionally perhaps, made me wish every other guitarist could sound like him.
He invented sounds this world never knew existed.
If Eddie knew this would become his most played solo, he would have done it way better. this is one of his worst ever. he sounds like, whatever, Michael wants me to play something, but I only have an hour, so what is it?
They're never gonna know!

My personal opinion when michael Jackson asked Eddie VanHalen to play the guitar for him for the beat it song . Eddie didn't bother to ask to get paid to do the song . He did it for free ! Which made Michael jackson millions and . Eddie made the song a hit without Eddie no one else could have played the guitar like Eddie did .
