  • This pedal is based on the G3 instead, and the "brightness" switch does the exact same thing as the original

  • I feel like this thing would sound better boosted, for that low gain setting. Joyo also makes an Argos Drive pedal, which is a clone of the Horizon Devices Precision Drive, complete with the attack knob and built-in noise gate. Stacking the Argos with the gain at 9 o'clock into an Uzi with the gain at 0 through the clean channel on my Orange Super Crush sounds great as a double tracking layer with the drive channel of the amp. I imagine this pedal would likewise sound killer in such a use case. I've always been a fan of running an overdrive through a distortion with the gain at 0 if some gain still comes through like that, or just high enough to add some character if not. Works great with a metal zone or a rat, too, both into an amp's input or into the FX return.

  • Pedal reviews with tube amps are lies. People with solid state will never get the same tone because theyre not pushimg tubes on a clean channel, causing break up. You want to watch reviews with a direct signal or solid state cleans.

  • I own the joyo dark flame and the Rev G4, they sound nothing alike the G4 is way more saturated if anything the dark flame is more in the G3 area

  • I remember the Dark Flame being my most anticipated release when the trailer for it came out, it's a really killer pedal!

I think a toggle between the standard circuit and something with less gain (like the G3) would work perfect for this in terms of versatility and distinction. Keep up the great work!
