  • Al Cisneros has a signature model, please get into that in some episode and try to please comment on Sleep´s and Om´s (the bands) tone used by Al. Thank you

  • Not necessarily the best, but definitely a strong, inventive, and often forgotten Rick player,
    Bruce Foxton of The Jam
Also, The Gas Frog image is hysterical.
Keep up the great work guys!

  • Chris Square, never was a good bass player, mediocre as Rick Wakeman say , many times to the press , also a Narcisist and very gelous gay(typical homosexual) no realy a good person. Lemmy are very limited , but he got talent , Macartney , a top front man and very good bass player.

  • Haven’t found anyone commenting on this, but wasn’t Taxman’s bass played by George, while Paul played lead guitar?

  • In addition to Sir Paul and Paul D'Amour, another worthy mention is Paul Goddard from Atlanta Rhythm Section. Not sure if he is already in the comments or not, but definitely a worthy player.

  • Is Lemmy a guitar layer first, yes. Before Hawkwind, he was Jimmy Hedrick’s UK/EU tour tech

  • I am always amazed to find that when you mention Macca, you never target his best bass lines on Rickenbaker. As if the Wings period completely escaped you …

  • It's a draw between Geddy and Cliff for me. The influence of Geddy can clearly be heard in Cliff's playing……Just listen to some of the crazy stuff Geddy does in By-Tor & the Snow Dog and you can hear where Anaesthesia comes from.

  • Macca doesn't play a Rickenbacker 4001 v63, but a 1964 4001s with the neck and headstock turned over. The modern version is 4001 c64

  • Chris's sound really came from the use of Rotosound strings. They would destroy your frets and warp your neck. The 4003 was designed with stainless steel frets and 2 truss rods to compensate. I have seen Chris live using a Fender on some songs. He can afford the frets job I guess.
