It sounds good. I played a d18 1937 authentic last week. I'm still in love with that guitar.
Interesting stuff about the colour of mahogany I wasn’t aware of that. Given Robin Bouchers location amongst quality Adirondack, these guitars are made to the highest of standards and don’t suffer the law of diminishing returns that happens with factory made guitars. Definitely my future dream guitar

How does the volume compare to a Collings? I really love the tone! I’ve seen Jake’s on Instagram and I’ve always been impressed.
The 'smile' line for the bridge pins makes less sense to me than a diagonal line following the line of the saddle. This would make for a constant break angle of the strings at the saddle. I would have thought that this would be preferable. Thoughts on this, anyone?
Jake Workman is probably the best bluegrass player on the planet next to John of course. Great guitars for pro players a bit pricey for the regular Joe.

I still like the 1 -11/16 inch nut and short scale, 12-fret. This one sounds great. I like that you play a whole song and do the review. Just think, if they order one of these in August, one could have Christmas in August (a holiday in Yellowstone National Park, 3rd week of August, celebrated on Christmas tree island in the Firehole River, YNP, Wyoming.
It must be set up rather low and on the edge because buzzing can be heard slightly on each pick attack.
Bouchers are a complete joy. Super comfy to play and a tonal canon for the ears. ????
