  • Shane, think of it like this…Boss is presenting consumers with 2 options. You acknowledge that people can get great tones without Bluetooth so why should those people who are comfortable adjusting knobs have to pay for Bluetooth? And, if Boss sold only one version and it had Bluetooth the price would be higher, they’d simply role that cost into the price, so the argument that you have to pay extra to get Bluetooth is looking at it from the wrong perspective…all manufacturers recover the cost of using Bluetooth, Boss are just presenting 2 options

  • Actually you won't necessarily "love it." You have to download a hardware update to hook up to Boss Tone Library and my amp wouldn't accept upgrade. Returning the amp was a huge hassle.

  • I have a cheap Bluetooth with an 1/8in jack for my car radio, I wonder if I use a 1/8th to 1/4 adapter if it will work for audio.

  • If one wants to go for Gen 3 that's absolutely fine. Most of us I, think are OK with MKll version. Eventually Boss will have to completely redesign this amp as, it's only so much this present control panel can hold.

  • I just got a Blackstar ID CORE 40 v4. It also doesn't have Bluetooth but honestly that isn't a big deal for me.

  • I love my Boss katana. Perfect lightweight amp with great clean channel perfect for pedals. I could care less about it not having bluetooth.

  • This theory definitely doesn’t apply to.y to the Katana Artist combos. They’re definitely a major upgrade on MK1 and MKll. And all 3 Artist combos absolutely DESTROY all of the regular Katanas.

  • Piece of rubbish, get a small marshall DSL valve amp, if you can play, that will do everything you will ever need..forget all this rubbish, keep it simple, practice and learn to play properly

  • No Bluetooth is a joke.
I like amps to have at least two input jacks in case one fails on you. Circuit board mounted input jacks on these newer amps suck. I always strain relief through the handle to minimize failure.

  • You can understand why the Positive Grid Sells Bass Guitar and web wifi – can sit in the lounge not as nice as a Vox but not ugly – You need something as aesthetic as a vox function of the Spark positive grid and the sound of the Fender Mustang with Wifi ?

  • That’s Roland Corp for you, they do the same with their online synths subs

  • The Amp comes with Bluetooth but it cost about $50 more. You can choose to purchase it without the Bluetooth for less money.
