Blues Tone With Blues Junior And Keeley BD2 Blues Driver
Just a little gear video I threw together with my Texas Red Blues Junior and my current pedalboard (which probably isn’t current anymore š
The voice is a little low in the mix, sorry about that. But you can hear the guitar amp just fine. Enjoy!

Nice layout without going off the cliff.. I'm personally not a fan of pure distortion pedals. I find they add too much synthetic modeling… Preference is for a small wattage Fender tube amp to be driven. Then add pedals to push the signal without distorting the note clarity.
13 years ago oof. I just found it and nice job. It's so very rare to hear a good tone on youtube. You should have noted it's only at very low volume, but still nice tone and great playing.
You helped many showing that a good guitar is way better than anything post.
Yeah to each his own ,both were nice but I really like the amp reverb(at the 2 setting you exampled ) you had and the delay was crazy over board by comparison to my ears with air pod pros via iPad Pro ā¦
This is the most amazing video on YouTube (for guitarists anyway….) I learned so much from this video, I'm actually putting together a similar pedal board. You have such a versatile setup with great tones, humble attitude, ability to explain how it works and stellar playing chops… REALLY dig it!!! ????
I've always been surprised with how much gain is packed into the stock Blues Driver. It can handle a wide variety of overdriven tones.
What speaker is in your blues jr?
I remember watching this so long ago but the tones are sweet—bass knob is dialed so high though in this set up here especially for humbuckers it sounds like shit and is all muddy through my blues jr 4 when i did this personally so i keep it at 6 and have middle and treble at about 8–volume at 2 and master between 7 and 8 to open up the circuit a bit
I just bought a brand new Blues Jr. Lacquered Tweed Edition. Nicest amp I have ever owned. Kicking my self for not getting one years ago. However, I now own one.
think for sure im gonna copy ur pedals .????
Not sure if youāll see this comment since the video has been around for a while (but itās new to me). Would love to see what you can do with the wah pedalā¦came across a live SRV doing Voodoo Chile and just loved how he worked the wah. As always, thanks Griff!
I love your tone! Desperately searching for your amp settings….
Doesn't stop jabbering until @ 5:30, doesn't use the board till @ 6:30
Very similar to my board. Love it. easy, simple and clean.
WOW???????????????????? Like your pedal .
Your not going to get āthat toneā even with same pedals……..this guy is incredibly talented plain and simple the tones in him!
King of buffer.
Pedal stacking just seemed like something cool to try before this video. After watching it, it makes total sense.
Simple, tasty, versatile pedalboard for the working man.
BEST TONES IVE HEARD ON YOUTUBE…10/10
Nobody can convince me you can get better overdrive tones with expensive boutique pedals over boss, especially modded boss pedals and Ibanez/Maxon pedals
I just bought a Blues Jr amp and this is very informative as how I should use my pedals .
Finally a YouTube pedal board that I agree with
shit dude you can play
Wow alright ! Who says you need those big expensive pedals to get that great sound… take a look at this setup with well-known AFFORDABLE pedals… nothing to envy, and at the same time thumbing a nose at all these overpriced boutique pedals. This is all you need when you know how to tweak these littles buttons!! I really enjoyed this video,… sometimes less is better! thank you for sharing your know-how.
Wow! that BD2 with the 335 was amazing
Tone is in the fingers. Great playing
