  • I have a MIJ version and I will NEVER part with it! It sounds absolutely amazing best playing bass I have ever had in my life! I picked it off of eBay in 2007 for $500 action was all messed up once I had it professionally set up (action and intonation) it plays like a dream!

  • Why they didn't produce a USA model with the black inlays and neck binding is beyond me. I don't like the pearl inlays and binding on the maple fretboard. You can't even see them from afar; thus, it makes the bass look "incomplete", as if the fretboard were blank

  • A little too crunchy. Geddys sound isnt this distorted. Also i HATE the pearl inlays on maple. It just doesnt look right to me. Otherwise, its a solid bass.

  • Hi. Is the neck of the USA Geddy Lee more similar to the neck of the Precision bass ? Thanks.

  • Sounds like you've got some processing on there, but still… that meaty tone is all J-bass.

  • Bummer of a review. All one tone, have zero idea of the tonal variety and versatility of this bass.

  • it would be better to listen to the instrument. I wanted a review of the bass not the distortion. I can say that my Japanese made bass sounds better and with less distortion.

  • Hey Ya Marc. Great video my friend. Wondering if you know a good (really good!) Montreal area guitar tech? One I could trust for high end acoustics and electrics etc. Any help would be much appreciated.

  • Distortion was ok for the first part of the review but should have been turned off later to be able to hear the bass clean.

  • As a Rush fan and a bass player I must say there are many of us that would have liked to hear the natural sound of the bass. It's a very nice Geddy sound you've got there, mate, but it's a Fender Jazz bass and it can do a whole lot more than just fart.
