  • Another Tweed show you say? Yes please! Even better if it’s about pedals that emulate the early Tweed sound!

  • That soundgas 636P sounded fantastic, but there's a reason I don't normally eat at Ruth Chris's steakhouse as well … man that's expensive!!

  • That Soundgas box knocked me out !!! I just ordered one ???? I’ve been using tube preamps exclusively for the past 30+ years but those sounds just shook me ????
Thanks for your show and steering me to a awesome new box ????????

  • The Keeley Octa Psi is just demential !!! I thought before listening it would be perfect for special stuffs such like "Owner of a lonely heart" : with the expression pedal, it can do so much more !!

    GAS crisis start !!

  • Am I the only one who thought after the first chord: Dan is playing No Excuses by Alice in Chains.

  • The way you guys have fun is the gasoline that fuels TPS still today! And that’s the reason why we love you and we follow you! Keep on!❤❤❤❤❤

  • Products like the Soundgas Grampian preamp, the Isle of Tone Fuzz Faces, etc – thousands of bucks for very basic circuits – are a relic of a pre-covid culture of maximalism. A time when huge pedalboards and quite a lot of focus on gear as personal cache was normal. Now with inflation, spiralling global tragedies and the like, those products have become quite embarrassing. Citing things like matched NOS transistors and vintage resistors and "exhaustive R&D" to justify car prices for the most basic of circuits in shabby boxes.

  • The emperor has no clothes. All drive pedals sound the same. None of them sound like amps. Just fuzz pedals if set high, soft op amp clipping if set low. Good day.

  • Tim Cunningham is the best fuzz builder in the world. Quite literally. Really nice guy, too. Check out his pedals – they have more power, harmonic richness, and better cleanup than anything else on the market. @cunninghamamps

  • Grampian. We have a winner! Wasn't expecting anything to be better than the Cunningham, but there you go…

  • What a great start to 2025 gents. I thoroughly enjoyed the crunchy cork-sniffery, this format really does it for me. Reminds me of the old days of TPS, I predict more pedal purchases as a result!

If a tweed pedal comparison show is being considered, please try to source a Crazy Tube Circuits Falcon to include. I got one last summer to put on a board for a Neil Young & Crazy Horse gig I was doing – it did the Tweed on the edge of exploding thing so well. I got the inspiration from an old Andy Demos video, and it sounded absolutely wonderful during my gig – I got so many comments on the NY tones I was getting when paired with the White Whale and some lush tape delay courtesy of the Mr. Black Tapex 2. Glorious!

The NY board is now history, but the WW, Falcon, and Tapex 2 are now on my current board (am hoping to bring this to the April Experience Day I'm booked in for ????)

  • 12:59 these two knobs here will let you know what it's aimed at.
My brain: they might even play the pedal too! ????
(Love you guys really really, can't resist an old fashioned pun)

  • I can so see the 14 year old playing air guitar in the john when Dan finds some sound that just cranks his chain. Even got an oh mouth from Mick. I was going to buy a new pick up truck, but that green thing makes me wonder… can I afford both… neither I'd say. Great sounds from all the goods, watching you guys having fun is brilliant!

  • Since there is Soundgas, it would be best to mention that it's been 2,384 days since the Terry Audio White Rabbit (deemed too loud for the episode) was presented. I wonder how they would sound alongside a Colourbox.

  • An episode with deluxe tweed pedals is a great idea, but gain all the way up and boosted with difference overdrives or between them????????????????

  • Love the TPS pedal shows, more please!

The Octa Psi is amazing, every review I've ever heard makes me want it more, and this was probably the best review I've seen.

And as for your bass playing Mick, you've found your calling! And fwiw, never apologise for using a pick. If it's the sound you want, just do it.
