  • I also love how you have complete left hand dexterity while wearing that pinky slide! Impressive!

  • I am really surprised you got away without using a power amp before the cabinet! I thought it would be actually too thin ever for home or rehearsal room, not mentioning a stage! Did you try to connect to only a passive cab? Will there be enough power for it?

  • Fantastic Demo! Knocked it out of the park to the point that I’m going to buy one! Bravo! And Great Playing!!!

  • Gotta say the same thing as everyone else – HUGE props for showing it in the context of a gig. Legend. ????

  • Funny note, the band I played in in the late '90's was called Smokestack. In the early to mid '70's I was in a band and we did Allman's, 'Liz Reed, Hot Lanta, etc… Back then I played a Twin and a SG/Les Paul… I played all of the Duane slide parts and Dickie leads too.

  • can it be connected just guitar, then Lion, then amplifier? That's how I'd have to use it. Your playing is most excellent by the way.

  • Couple things .. 1)did you find the bright switch and where you can turn it off 2) did you try to use a Stereo Y for headphone ? And 3) fx return on simple light weight tube powered origin 20 to move air on stage low level but with ab box to split is a good option

  • Hi Dylan, this is a very interesting video! But just a question, why do you use a DI box in real situation? For long cable issue or what?

  • I didn’t personally find it worked as well running into the high z on the Apollo. That’s for guitar level, not line level right? Did you experience any issues with getting a good clean sound?

  • 1st of all, thanks for the vid and you are a great fucken player, man. 2nd i was wondering if you or another lion user could help me. I also use tube amps and cabs, and i sometimes need to go front of house like you. I don't like monitors, just cabs. I was wondering if i took this pedal and a regular cab with class d power, split signal and send one to the cab(cab off) and another to ir loader and desk. The question is.. Can we download the original irs in the pedal from UA so i can load it on my ir loader and send to desk so i can still sound like the original pedal ?

  • Thumbs up for the enormous effort you have obviously put into creating such an amazing non biased review, I mean playing it at a gig, all the editing, brilliant!!

  • Are you still digging this pedal? I'm considering one, but I'm seeing a lot of negative reviews about it.

  • Does your prs amp have an effects loop ? You could just go straight into the effects return defeating the cab sims ???????? You still would have the power amp sim of a Marshall , but that’s what amp in box pedals do anyway . Best of both worlds ????

  • You take up a lot less room on stage with that setup! Plug that thing into a Fender ToneMaster FR 10 or 12 and you will love it!

  • I have this pedal. And I'm able to get the best sounds I've ever had using a "modeler". I've used a Helix LT and ToneX pedal. Both sound fine. But there is something about the Lion pedal that gives me the sound I've been looking for. I use it as my "amp". So I just set it for a clean, near edge of breakup tone, and then use pedals before and after it. Just perfect!

  • I have got mine last week and it is quite impressive with couple of presets already. It is much better than Friedman IR X.

  • Thanks for being real. You touched on all of my questions and concerns.
