Spokane, Washington. I started playing on Yamaha C 85 nylon string made in 60's. I want to learn to finger pick on either a FG 800 or( 830l and the 830 sounds better to me. I want to look at the fg ntx1 with a wider neck and nylon strings. ????

Is the Fret board smaller than the original size ?

Love this playing and love this sound! I bought one just yesterday as my very first ever guitar. So it's nice to watch and listen to someone really play this thing! I was able to break out some simple tunes with it surprising myself having never really played a guitar before. I've attempted with some friend's guitars, but for some reason it seems I have a better understanding of how things work and how to handle it. I still really need lessons though. Anyway this video gets me excited to hear the potential for the beast I have.

In my opinion, it is better to buy the FG800-830 and install a pickup on it if necessary.
