Joyo Vision – Too Good to Be True?
Do you want to learn how to use one of the best dual modulation pedals for beginner to intermediate guitarists? Well, check out this video where I’ll show you how to use the Joyo VISION. This pedal is great for adding depth and character to your guitar playing, perfect for adding a touch of modulation to your chords and solos.
In this video, I’ll also be demonstrating dual modulation, a feature of the Joyo VISION that lets you create two different effects simultaneously. I’ll also be giving you a demo of all 18 sounds, all of which are perfect for adding a extra layer of depth to your guitar playing. So whether you’re a beginner or an intermediate guitarist, make sure to watch as I demo the Joyo Vision until we have found every inch of tone.
Special thanks to @JoyoPedals1 for supplying the pedal.

The volume drop with this pedal is too much. I wish it worked for me. Otherwise awesome
Great demo. I really like this pedal, but I've found one setting that's basically useless: the octave effect. It's impossible to find the right pitch with an analog knob and it's INFURATING that it almost goes an entire octave, but is juuuuuuuust a few cents off — enough to just make it sound out of tune and drive you nuts. ????
The effect is not 100% useless though as I've found you can actually get a nice chorus effect by using that octave setting and turning the knob until it's barely out of tune from your natural pitch. It gives a nice stereo doubling effect with no rate. Overall, though, it's a good value. My favorite is probably the rotary, stutter or opt. tremolo.
REALLY good review man, do you think this pedal is noisy or quiet?
Nice playing dude!
Does the Joyo Vision cuts your signal? (Signal Loss)??
Does the rotary broadcast in stereo like left/right ?
A tiny pinch of ring modulator is like adding just the appropriate pinch of sea salt to a recipe! Not Too much but just enough
do place it before or after dirt pedals?
This pedal is great but if you dime it out everyone of the modulations sound like shit. If you are considering it don't get stupid. I've seen bad reviews from people cranking it up . I wrote down the settings I like for each modulation. Some don't sound good at all others have a very small window in which they are usable
Heh… i usually don't like chorus! 😀 But I like almost all other modulation effects. Chorus is too much 80's for me which I'm not a big fan. I felt like you asked why? So mudulation, i love it, unless it is chorus 😀
never had any luck with this pedal. it brings down the signal leven so much it's unusable
semua preset dimainkan dengan sangat baik. mantap skill nya om ini
Very nice combinations I got the jug of kings and I like to play Alan parsons music and I love it ! But this you are showing I really want it????????????????????????
Can i blend them ?
Best review of this pedal I've seen. Thank you!
sold. thank you. where shall i put it in the chain? amp or fx loop? beginner here
I just bought it and arrived yesterday, mines have this slight lag.. Is it normal? ????
@12:29 Nice..????????????????????????
Fab review! I was thinking of getting a Joyo Vision and you've sold me. Excellent work!
I mainly only need Chorus , delay and flange. Are chorus and delay pleasing to the ear? I played a hard rock gig one night and just put the boss chorus on a mild chorus mix and it just filled up the whole club with huge sound.
Thank you for the very thorough demonstration. I've been looking into getting one of this, but I've seen videos in which from a clean or with a little over drive, after activating this pedal the volume drops quite noticeably. Did you experience anything like this? Would there be any way of preventing it other than with a boost pedal?
Love the way you put that???? Creativity.
I'm just curious, but I saw somewhere that it was a kind of power hungry pedal and the volume drops significantly. Does it do that?
wow
are you instagram?
Any chance of a demo, or just an opinion, on the pedal in its parallel mode?
I'm very curious on the parallel mode, as it can do dry on one side, and the modulated effect on the other. It's one of few pedals that internally can create a parallel chain that blend octaver with a dry signal. For hard rock that is pretty wild to do, but either requires very expensive octave pedals, or several pieces of extra gear able to run a parallel chain.
Maybe there are other combinations of an effect combined with a dry signal that makes it sound better.
I'm really stoked that the Nux Atlantic has a parallel mode as well, with its reverb and delay parallel to each other, giving a really clean effect
damn, ill buy it just for the stutter. 100 bucks? yes.
I have this pedal. And, frankly, it doesn’t give as much effect as in your review. Yes, it's modulation, but yours is juicy, as if these combinations came from their own pedals. The flanger sounds noticeably poorer than Boss BF. It would be more honest to review this multi-effect without drive and other third-party effects.
So I think Vision is for those who is not a modulation guy. This is for those who want introduce him self in modulation or use it to add color to their sound.
I'm a new subscriber – love your stuff!! Perhaps I have not seen yet where you explain your signal chain in more detail so forgive this new guy question…. you have the York Audio IR loaded in your DAW? What loader do you use? And the big question: why do it that way instead of just loading the IR in the Iridium. Is there a tone difference between having the IR in the Iridium or the IR in your DAW? Thank you for your great and informative videos!!
You can get some nice sounding synth-like tones, but I think the trick is to keep your guitar signal up and the effect down. Also if you run it into delay/echo/reverb it adds a lot. The tap tempo is great too – I prefer to run this pedal with the two effects in parallel – you can set on fast tempo and one slower and then use the controls to how much of each effect comes through your signal.
It has to be acknowledged that there is a latency issue – but there are workarounds – like running a drum machine through it, or something in the background to keep the pedal from 'dropping out' when you stop playing.
A few sounds are good, some are chintzy lol
Need one now for sure
Love the playing, and the chat-through ????
Hi. Great video, but… What about the A – B Switch. pls???
Sold!
Did you figure out what the control knob does? I honestly sounds like a tone control to me and it's not documented!
Cool video, cool pedal! Man, even the ring modulator sounded great. The base tone what you create with that guitar is so great. Everything laid on top of that sounds so good. So much headroom.
Amazing video, brimming with enthusiasm as always. Could anyone tell me the name of the song played for the tri-chorus at 13:46? Sounds extremely familiar
Before or after drive?
Gotta disagree on the usefulness for beginners. The sounds you demonstrate border on unusable for a novice player. They are impressive due more to your technique than their inherent sounds. It is a great pedal but way too many parameters for a novice. Way too much potential for shoe-gazing w instead of practicing your instrument. A newbie needs a simpler pedal to learn the ins and outs of typical controls. That said, the rotary setting is pretty weak–given the price that shouldn't be surprising, but someone looking for a Leslie sound would still be looking around. A real multi-use pedal that models specific pedals would be much more helpful to a pedal beginner. An expression pedal out would also extend this things usefulness.
Your video, production and playing are stellar. You could sell bass strings to a keyboard player.
Thanks man, just bought this because of you 😀
Dude, I could watch you jam all day! ????????
That bit at 13:30 is amazing.
I can see this pedal used for some cool Slow Blues like "Whiskey Blues and Slow Blues"
OH MY! Just a bit Flanger WOW what a sound. I am assuming that you are using a two or more Amp set-up to get the true sound of these effects.
You are spot on when you mention adding just a bit of the sound.
I here here so many guitarists adding so much of the sound effect that it ends up just sounding like a bunch of noise to me.
is it analog or digital?
Great playing!!!
Hi , since it is stereo would it be good to use with synth ?
Thank you and a nice day .
