Loving the DMB transitions ????
Really terrific review. I learned a ton. Thank you! A couple of quick questions; what is the "silent stage" that you mentioned? Does that mean there's no monitor? And do you have an in-ear monitor system that you'd recommend?
Some interesting opinions. None of these LR Baggs options sound particularly natural or woody to me. Onboard pre-amps are practical for live and band, but the sound they produce is not very acoustic, especially undersaddle or under bridge. The under saddle "piezo" effect actually makes me a bit nauseous after a while – just sounds zingy and artificial. I've opted for all passive humbucking soundhole Pups. Sending a low ;ine-level signal avoids that immediate linear piezo compression, so the sound is more pure when it hits an external EQ and/or compression, then amplification.
Thanks for the info. Great video. The bridge plate is cool.
An SM57 is also a good 'pickup' 🙂
K&k pure mini os the best in the world formme
The most comprehensive video regarding acoutic pickup systems. Thank you
I expected the M1 Active to (or magnetic pickups in general) to work much better for strumming than for fingerpicking – as you said.
But I found that at least in my OM-model the strumming sounds pretty thin and lackluster while the fingerpickings sounds surprisingly good.
I guess it depends a lot on the guitar as well.
Other than that the Anthem is definitely one of the best options you can get – it's no suprise that most high quality guitars that come with a pickup do have these installed.
You're very flexible with the mixing to adapt to the guitar, your playing style and the surrounding.
This is the most annoying product advertisement I’ve seen in a while. Also, I don’t care how you try to gussy it up, a piezo pickup will never sound like an acoustic guitar is supposed to sound, enjoy the built in plastic emulator that comes with you guitar I guess.
I love my Fishman Mic/Pickup blend systems ! Super versatile for different performance situations! Ended up liking Fishman over LR Baggs
Is the guitar sound direct or are you getting bleed from whatever mic is picking up your voice?
too much yapping…annoying…sorry bu I share honesty
Anthem for me!
