  • I figured Temu products were a gamble and I wanted to learn more. Good video; glad I watched. Very informative. It's hard to believe that even Temu would sell a guitar 'that' bad.

  • It's as good as most squire by fender guitars. I don't really think no squire is worth over 250$. It's just my opinion. But they are pretty basic guitars really… Wouldn't pay more than 300$ for any squire unless it had Seymour Duncan pick ups in you done s very honest review and I like that

  • I frikken almost bought one of these too. I changed my mind and I’m so glad I did. The problem with Temu is when you agree to use their
App you give them all the rights to your phone data.
Because of that I didn’t and won’t order anything from them.

  • You could use that guitar and make your own Frankenstrat. I know you already got one but it would make for more content if you stripped it down and built the Frankenstrat out of it and it might become a half decent guitar if you put the time in. At the very least you get a wall hanger and more content. You could order Temu parts to create it.

  • at 5:58 I LOST IT LMAOOOO. i had a similar experience with temu and they actually sell 1 piece items allot. i didnt realize this but when i was ordering on temu and then I needed a couple more dollar items to get the free shipping. I bought these jaw excersiers where its basically 2 pieces of rubber that you bite with the side of your teeth. anyways while ordering that I was expecting 2 rubber pieces but NOPE SAME AS YOU ONLY 1 HAHA. it was funny at first i was so confused until reading my temu order it said "1 Pc"

also update on that rubber piece I actually cleaned it and then cut it to fit inside the whole where you would screw in a tune o matic bridge for a les paul. i put in 2 rubber pieces into the holes since the pegs that held the bridge was a bit wobbly

  • Monoprice all day. Don't know why people even bother with these – unless they're actively looking for a project guitar. The honest review is appreciated.

  • Didn't Kirt Cobain and those other grunge guys say they would purposely buy cheap guitars from pawn shops to show rebellion of all the hair bands being so technical and precise with their playing, you know like Eddie Van Halen and those that came after? So at least you have the right shirt on for the video but at least you have on your STP Richard Petty the king hat on, so all isn't lost.

  • I highly respect your honesty and candor in reviewing this guitar. They should have named it "Murphy's Law". Can you Please do a review on Amazon's 'Best Choice Product' (BCP Semi-Hollow Body Electric Guitar Set (ES-355 Copy)Cutaway Design ?

  • I'm less than thrilled with Temu. I've ordered a few small items, some okay'ish, and some not so much. One was a clip on tuner. I have several tuners, but for the price Temu was showing I figured another wouldn't hurt. It arrived in something the size of a matchbox. The screen on the tuner is literally the size of my thumbnail.

Maple S style guitar neck. It looks okay for the low price I paid. Frets are sharp, nut isn't fully cut and the neck will need work to accept a Strat nut. It has a significant bow but I haven't installed or done any work on it yet.

Also ordered a full size baseball bat. What I received is more like a t-ball bat.

I ordered heat shrink tubing that looks okay but I haven't tried it.

I'd like to order a few guitar tools but my experience so far has left me gun shy

  • I appreciate your opinion about this guitar but I really thought after watching this video at the end you would let us hear what it sounds like.

  • The thing I've found about temu is it's just diraect from the Chinese factory though an amazon like store… Which Amazon, eBay even esty has the same hit or miss rate too just at 3x the price.

  • Hi man…I recently bought a guitar, and I filmed the unboxing, but with the intent and hope that I would not have a reason to post it anywhere…it was more of a "just in case there is something way not right going on here" type of deal…there were no issues with the unboxing that I would consider being one of those "oh no, I have to warn the general public about this" type of thing. I still am considering doing a review on it, even though I don't consider myself a guitar reviewer, but I for sure don't plan on putting any of the box opening stuff in it. Thanks for the video!

  • Thank you for your review. I was almost going to buy that exact guitar colour and all. There were no reviews on the sale page which caused me search for reviews and yours said it all.
I didn't expect much for that price and knew it would need strings and tuners. And I wasnt worried about the finish too much since I wanted as a travel beater guitar but the other issues you touched on have made up my mind that I m not going to buy it

  • While I have purchased budget knock-off guitars…and for the most part have been very please…..but my general rule is anything $ 170.00 and under…..I won’t even pull the trigger….I tend to hang at the $200.00 to 350.00 mark depending on the features……. I recently scored a really nice Michael Schenker Harlequin V counterfeit put on some locking tuners and some Duncan pickups and I’m good to go……

  • I bought a Dlaso off Temu the only issue I had was I had to add a shim to the neck to make it playable. The frets and nut were actually really good. I did eventually upgrade the tunners and pickups. But I probably just got lucky with mine.

  • Man, that has to be the worst guitar out of the box I've seen come across your channel (minus the ones broken in shipping).
It's shocking, even at that price point, that it would be so out of spec with other guitars in that price range nowadays.
I was wondering: did you end up upgrading the string trees or did you end up not bothering?
If they're the same ones, that could be a huge part of the tuning stability problem too — extra friction points.
Either way, glad you called them out on this slipping through and I hope they take this video as a sign they need to have higher standards if they want to succeed — too much competition in the sub-$500 guitar market these days to pump out a guitar with frets not seated!

  • Temu is really hit and miss with quality, siding on the miss side. As far as Dlaso, I got one of their gig bags which looked good on the site and turned out to be total crap, the worst of 5 I got. With firefly and harley benton, there is really no reason to buy unknown stuff when looking for a sub-200 guitar. The aforementioned brands usually work out of the box with some minor setup work, no upgrades really needed.

  • You get what you pay for! It is hit or miss with budget guitars. I been buying them for a long time. If you can't work on guitars and afford to change most everything on them, well your throwing away your hard earned $$$
