They're a great guitar for people who want a budget fender, the new standard on the other hand is terrible, I've played and would warn people do not go near it

Honeso, for ANYTHING over $500, I fully expect the tremolo to stay in tune. There are many affordable guitars uou can get today that don't have the tremolo tuning issue. I would think that after 70 years they would have figured that out.
Its not like the Gibson tuning issue which is operator error, this is engineering.

Nice colour. Looks like a satin neck too? I'm beginning to prefer medium jumbo frets now over the narrow vintage frets on my Strat. I bet it won't be your last Fender either, one isn't ever enough????, although I think the new Fender Std's seem over priced.
Modern c neck profile, vintage style tuners. I luv the Hss pickups on a strat. But gotta have a maple fretboard.
That’s a really nice one you have there you should keep it . Every little item on it , the special edition star , the headstock shape , the class tuners , the F neck plate , the skunk stripe , the pickups sound great , Musicians Friend is cool , wait’ll you see the games Fender is playing now you’ll appreciate it even more !!
Fender Player pickups are my favorite pickups. They seem to be clones of the old American Standard pickups. I think the Player series is one of the better value guitars Fender puts out right now, especially if you catch a deal, along with the Squier CV series. THANKS FOR THE VIDEO!

Very nice. My son has a Player I with a roasted maple neck and 69 pickups (a special edition for a store over here). Very decent guitars, and you got a bargain.

I grabbed four Player Plus, two SSS and two HSS, for around $800 each from GC. I suspect the line will be discontinued soon, as they're $200 off. Better than the Player II and cheaper with the sale price… I'm sorry you got the Player II and hope you can still return it for the Player Plus, which is superior.

I do like the color. I'm not over whelmed with Fenders recently, but it seems like a pretty good guitar. Then again, I'm what you'd call as sub-budget player, so what do I know?
