You’ve clearly got an axe to grind here. You didn’t have a problem with any of the sounds, which is the main criteria I put on gear. I’m not sure why you think it’s so complicated to use, I find it extremely easy, the instructions are simple and very clear. You placed your entire hand over the alt button then complained because you couldn’t see the dial. That’s like putting your head into a garbage can then complaining you can’t see where you’re going. Weak. You think the box is a little over priced for not having a screen, that’s cool, you’re probably right. And I thought the plastic seemed a little cheap too, but it’s lighter, seems to be made out of ABS, I could be wrong, we’ll see. This “review” makes it difficult to take any of what you’re saying serious at all. You really struggled with the basic operations of this pedal, you seem like a good player, but you really struggled with turning knobs.
I have the guitar one and really like it. Was mostly here to see whether or not the bass (amp) models are worth it. I'm on the fence now, but thanks for going over everything. I like how simple these devices are. I think overall the guitar one is more useful for recording. I'm mainly a bassist, though. I was hoping to get some extra sounds in addition to my Tech21 VT Bass DI. But that thing is a classic for a reason.
I don't think these are super useful live unless you're just using the effects, then you can toggle it on/off. Or if you're only use the amps but never touch the effects. It's a bit of a compromise for the form factor/features, but I do think it has a place especially with at home practice/home studio peeps.
thank you for the review, I did buy one and your demo is helpful in navigating the features. Line6 just added pod express edit software and you can use your PC or Mac and edit the settings and tweak and add presets.
Okay, you didn't like it out of the box, but try connecting it to the computer and adjusting it to your liking. There's a way to customize everything as you see fit. Why did everyone make a review without ever connecting it to a computer even once? Such a review doesn't count as a proper review!
I owned it for 2 months and sold the junk
Thanks for the nice honest review!!
I agree this could have been done a bit better for sure. The volume leveling with the music for home jams and the bass and the entire pedal volume on the headphone Def disappointed
Thanks for the video. You are completely wrong with just about everything you said, but heh, you are entitled to your opinion.
Right on Brother, no Fluff !!!! they'll have to back and enhance it ! thanks so much .
Appreciate you talking me off the cliff of a regretful purchase. Your raw dog tone is far superior to whatever that thing is doing.
Thank for this nice review. I will order mine immediately. ????
1:07:08. why is the sound so distorted? Doesn’t sound nice with the phaser.
A lot of fast fiddling. Could you also play simple bass lines that let us hear the sound of the pedal? ????
Using the names of other products brings a lot of copyright trouble. So they avoid calling it like this.
Wow. One and a half hour and no chapters for orientation. I did not have the time and patience to follow. Hey check your Poti noise.
i hear you on it being mid for multi-effects, but I think this is mainly to have a cheap amp sim and especially for bass, cause there ain't nothing out there like this. I would ask you how the headphone output is? you know for like apartment practice or something like that? thought?
This guy hasn't bothered to learn how to use this pedal properly and on top of that he's a Zoom fan boy …. Surprise ! He doesn't like the Line 6 pedal … ????
The whole point of this product is for people who don’t like screens and menus, and want to keep it simple….point taken?
Theyre just trying to push people into spending 500 for a stomp (which is…. Mostly worth the cost). I agree though this pedal is everything wrong with multifx.
Zoom ????????????
You bought it fool!
Im not really a bass player i own a studio and play bass in a band i use the hx stomp and fuc no i thougjt hell im gonna buy a $500 darkglass pedal all i had to do is learn to sey up for bass easy peasysaved a bundle on s pedal i already had it $179 bucs its is chesp but come on man this review bis a peice of crap ,YOU SUCK!!!

Hx edit is the easiest Ui you can use if you cant figure bthat out wtf!? You ain't be en trying no wonder everybody puts down bass players and are so many bass player jokes!!ake your own presers the factory ones are always crap!!
Dude it's the same engine as the helix and Hx stomp! Your review sucks!!!!!its stupid easy to use if you can use a helix now thats a learning curve! This is kindergarten compared to this if you cant figure this simple pedal out you need some help its not rocket science bro if you want all the bells and whistles buy a axe fx then tell me how freaking complicated that motherfucker is?!!
Completely agree with everything. I had the guitar version for two days and couldn't take it back to Guitar Center fast enough. I totally enjoy playing through my old Behringer V-Amp and ZOOM G1On way more.
I just ordered one of these for the reason that it doesn't have a bunch of menus and stuff. I have Zoom and Headrush pedals but I rarely use them. This one is nice because you can just turn some dials and get fast results. Plug in add a little flang or whatever
im gonna look into the Zoom
i know how complicated it is…hella challenge to learn
hella truth
Instead which pedal do you recommend?
This is the honest review I was looking for. Appreciate you @TheBassNegus
Well, here I go. I have so many things to say about this video…
First of all, thank you very much for it. I don't know if you're going to like reading this, but I really, really LMFAO, like big time. Best review I ever seen, I laughed much more with this video than I had with 80% of stand up comedy.
This video was one of the first reviews to show up on my feed when researching this pedal (nice timing hacking the algorithm, man!). I'm completely new to bass, but played guitar for some years now, so I understand basic things. Like what it means not having any control on a compressor (wtf, incredible)
Long story short, I've subscribed to your channel, immediately. And today I bought a brand new Zoom MS-60B. It really blew my mind (considering how old is this pedal, I didn't even took a glimpse into the manual, and it sounds 10000 times better than Amplitube, Bass Drive sound i.e. it's a charm)
You steered me out of buying a crap pedal, pointed me to a good old skool one and made me laugh in the process.
Thank you very much!
Exactly this isn't meant to be a full blown Helix. This is something you can plug and play. Find you a good preset which they have 21 to choose from. And you can play any gig.
Finally, an honest review on YouTube.
Missing a Di out deal breaker.
Respectfully, I think you’re missing the point. If you want menus and flexibility, buy a Helix. If you want run and gun, buy this.
I like honest, no BS reviews. Thanks!
