Jazz Fusion Hack #28 | 2 5 1 Scale Options in G Harmonic Major

In today’s video you can grab a fairly easy set of scales that fit over a major 2 5 1 chord progression. All of these scales stem from the same root of the G Harmonic Major Scale.

The scales being used are A Dorian b5 (which is technically out) over the Am7, D Mixolydian b2 over the D7(alt) and G Harmonic Major over the Gmaj7.

They all tend to spice up the sound of that 2 5 1 a bit.
