Ik kan echt alle noten spelen die TE ook speelt. Geen enkel probleem.
Wellicht niet de snelheid, volgorde en met de juiste intonatie maar puur de noten… dat lukt!
En op nieuwe snaren lukt dat vast iets beter..
Super interview Ed, ik volg TE al sinds hij speelde op de sluiting van de spelen Sydney in 2000. Super gitarist, fantastisch aardige kerel!
Tommy Emmanuel is a tdchnical freak but unmusical. H
I've never heard a moment of slow subtle interpretation in his playing. He plays every song like it's the Flight of the Bumble Bee. Its boring to watch him. "Faster, must go faster!"????

This is such a great interview Ed. Tommy is a massive inspiration to me, his stage craft is incredible and to hear his approach to it reaffirms this inspiration. Brilliant questioning and then giving the GOAT space to tell it like it is. ????????????????
I love it. Watched your entire interview. You stayed out of the way, like an interviewer should. You brought out some of the best of my favorite guitarist. You let him explain his philosophy on many things. You let him explain, without interruption. Good questions too. I want those strings. I liked subscribed.
His sound quality at concerts is so good it made me feel like I was hearing music for the first ever time. I was right beside a speaker and my bones were vibrating in tune to what he was playing.
I thought Tommy was the world’s greatest guitarist, and I would say that I could agree with this sentiment if we’re talking about living guitarists…however, IMHO, Kazuhito Yamashita is the worlds greatest guitarist to ever live.

I saw Maestro Emmanuel on a street in Honolulu prior to one of his Blue Note shows, and I stopped and said: “Mr. Emmanuel l, I presume.” He smiled and shook my hand. All three of his Blue Note shows were different and equally amazing. Maestro Emmanuel is a world treasure. Awesome interview!

Gaaf Edson ,TY very much nice interview, Tommy is a Maffiaboss without the voilence,en hij heeft geen blauwe bril nodig en een beard lol,, hij zei : Wil je goed worden, zoek een lied uit met een mooie melodie, goed gevoel hebben en een verhaal, uit iedere hoek , jazz flamenco en folk en blues.

I have seen countless Tommy Emmanuel interviews, and must say it never gets old, always something new and interesting to hear from Mr Emmanuel. Much of that content is and must be stimulated by the interviewer. Im not saying this just for a chance to win some Martin TE strings, but you did a great job as well Ed keeping the flow and not interrupting or saying too much. Thanks for this fantastic interview.
Tommy is STILL redonkulously good! Despite it being rather old news it must be said. In the 90's thru the 2000's & beyond he was so hot on stage that he should have traveled with a team of firefighters. Truly "Galaxy Class", as world just doesn't do it justice. & that's not only as a player but as an arranger AND as a songwriter too. When I 1st encountered Tommy(thanks to PBS) I didn't even know that solo acoustic instrumentals could be so damn interesting & complete, & I'd been playing all of my life, with acoustic being my fave mind you. BTW, I'd sure put those strings to good use.
