How useful is a battery powered bass amp? – Joyo DC-15B Review

Being more useful than an acoustic bass isn’t a high bar, but this perfectly portable battery powered bass amp clears it with ease.

  • Please tell me, can you send a signal from it (with different effects) to a mixing console?

  • I have regular amps as well as a pretty extensive studio desk recording set up. I have now had this for about two weeks along with the Joyo Mo Mix. Together they are the ultimate practice tool ridiculously versatile.

  • Did anyone notice the difference with the speaker volume and when using headphones. On mine the headphone volume is very low and farts at most volumes.

  • Have we finally the solution to the famed campfire jam from all your acoustic bass videos. This plus a ubass probably weighs as much as a single acoustic guitar

  • FYI Thomann do a 50w+50w stereo pedal thing that could potentially run two 4 ohm cabs and give you 100w and that will run off 24v. It's less than $100US. That could be a bit of a buker's delight if you've got a pair of small cabs – could even stick a guitar through one and bass through the other.

  • “Your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, that they didn’t stop to think if they *should*” lol …A product with all the features under the sun crammed into it (kinda cool) but they seem to have forgot the part of figuring out whether an actual audience exists that benefit from it being available (kinda not cool)

I suspect a lot of these will end up knee-jerk buys that just collect dust and/or become more e-waste after not a lot of use.

  • It's a nice and upgraded copy of a Roland Cube, I used mine with bass for so long until in a stupid moment of my life traded it for a pedal.

  • Have you played the Boss Dual Cube? I considered that at some point, but it's almost as expensive as the Bass Katana. So This is on my radar if I need something battery powered. I can't really find a place to buy it right now lol.
