Both sound almost the fucking same, just depends if you wanna play acoustic or not I guess ????
Personally the brighter Spruce tone does it for me.

All this talk about wood you can make a guitar out of anything and it will sound good even fiberglass or carbon fiber ????????????????
Usually mahogany would have a benefit for being a warmer sound over spruce, but I’m not really hearing any benefits of that warmer tone here. Just sounds muffled down or has older strings. Usually there’s a trade off or a pro and con for both, but spruce here has it all. Just the right amount of bright
