I have been bombarded with people asking when I am going to cover the @SONICAKE Pocket Master. So here we go….

Also, at :23 seconds, I meant to say the “BOSS Go is just a little clunky.” Not Pocket Go…

  • Another amazing product by Sonicake this one..smaller than ever unit with tons of fun for individual practice. Would you recommend this one, DD?
Is it decent quality reckon for playing small gigs live through FOH and for professional recording, reckon? ????

  • I couldn't connect this unit to my PC (Win10) or Laptop (Win11) using a regular USB to USBC cable despite trying to for hours.
Then I found a USBC to USBC cable and plugged it into my laptop a bingo! Connected instantly.
Then using the SONICLINK app on my iPad editing everything is so much easier.

  • I just got this unit a few days back and love it but cannot download the software for SonicLink? I tried on two
different devices, a Dell chromebook which runs on Android and a Samsung Galaxy 10 phone also Android?
My dell chromebook says the file is not supported and the samsung galaxy phone also wont open the file?

  • My boss katana you have to hit a key on startup to allow a non standard driver to load, to get to the editor on PC

  • I have not been able to get the Windows software, Sonicake Manager, to do anything except update the firmware. On the website, the Product Description says " Free Mac/Windows/IOS/Android Software for Sound Editing and Presets Managing, Built-in lithium battery"… but later they contradict that in the FAQ section by saying, " FAQ: Can i edit sound on windows or mac?.. Answer: No, the pocket master only supports file management on pcs for firmware updates and audio interface functionality. for sound editing, please use the soniclink app. if you are using a mac with an m-series chip, you can also download the soniclink app to edit sounds and move effect modules." I also have not seen anyone else use Windows to manage the tone settings on anything except the Phone App.

  • Thank you for the tip relating to moving the noise reduction to avoid the note from cutting out. I bought the pocket master yesterday and noticed this happening as soon as the high gain effects played. A wonderful review and Sonicake should watch it themselves and automatically set up the Noise gate as you describe, when the items are manufactured! All the best from over in the U.K., GB.

  • I use this strictly for the NAM profiles… with pedals in front and behind it… with the Mesa Lonestar and the RK Victory profiles, PURE GOODNESS!!

  • Mine does strange cracking noises when I turn the volume pot on the guitar. I was blaming de guitar… but it is the unit (tried more than 10 guitars). This stops happening when I go wireless instead of using a physical cable.

  • Thanks for the video. I really like mine except for the noise gate clipping the tails. Will have to try moving it after the Amp and IR.
