????????Las Mejores Guitarras Gemelas femeninas‼️Gracias por la reacción
Amigo, thanks, yes I agree this was like a Guitar Clinic, and very fun to see them playing guitar together and having fun, see you on the next one!!!!
Shout out to Rock Fujiyama and Marty-San. This channel has many great interviews with Japanese musicians. Please check out part 2 with Miyako and the other Miyako interview I suggested (Miyako Background). I attended the first two Lovebites concerts in the US and have tickets for their Budokan show next year. Additionally, I went to a Marty Friedman’s concert last month in the US and loved it. He will be touring South America very soon. You might want to check out some of his recent concert videos and videos of his band members. I love Wakazaemon on the bass with Marty, Koiai and formerly East of Eden. Enjoy the research.
Midori ????????????????????
If you go to Miyako's official YouTube channel, she has a 3 part series of videos, which she posted last year, on the process she uses to compose music in her home studio. Although not a musician myself, I found it completely enthralling, and have watched them several times.
R.I.P. Alexi ????
Midori ????. Thank you Glenn!
I've had the pleasure of meeting Nuno Bettencourt, George Lynch, Kiko Loureiro and Marty Friedman all really cool guys. When I was talking to Marty, I was in a group with Japanese journalists and he would speak Japanese to English and back seemlessly, it was very impressive.
????
You have to have very nimble fingers on the fret board to be a shredder it seems.
There was a video on YouTube ( no longer on YouTube) that in one part of the video it showed Nuno Bettencourt meet Lovebites before their show, watch their concert and than Nuno met them after, even changing his travel plans to do so. I'm sure it was great for Midori that Nuno met with her and the band.
Do check out part 2 with Miyako, she has some pretty interesting picks.
Marty moved to Japan after leaving Megadeth (2000?) and remains there, married to a Japanese women.
This is, more or less, 'his show'.
Midori is always full of surprises, intentionally. Have you heard "Dancing With The Devil"?
Midori is so fluent in every technique, she can reproduce any style, then uses that skill to compose solos that are unique to her. The first thing I noticed was how unconventional her choices are. Some are dismayed at what at times seems a lack of melody or emotion, what I hear is extreme & unique melodies of intense emotion!
"Hell Yeah!" is their regular expression, they all say it with the guests in every show.
Kiko Loureiro, who's style in Brazilian power-metal band Angra is the influence for Midori, though, at the time of this he had been lead guitarist for Megadeth since 2016 & left (his idea) in late 2023, as I recall.
His solo instrumental music is as-good-as-it-gets, imo. https://www.youtube.com/@kikoloureiroofficial
He continued to release while in Megadeth.
His last trip to Japan with Megadeth found him and Marty performing together for a collection of songs from Marty's era. Awesome, probably clips here on u2b.
While LOVEBITES was on c0v!d hiatus in 2020 Midori participated with Angra's drummer (from Kiko's era) Bruno Valverde on music for a video game called "No Straight Roads": https://youtu.be/x7cAMdpvpY8
The tracks extracted from the video game available have one or the other, that link is all of Midori's part, though the game matches her solo in segments with different styles depending on how it fits within the game.
I hope this additional information is of interest.
???? dreg????
Thanks for this, I always enjoy learning more about them.
The auditions began right after this release, so it is correct that they had no bassist at this time.
Their appearance might have been intentionally part of the promotion for auditions.
Here is bassist auditions announcement, March 30, 2022: https://youtu.be/mySe6LErin4
Absolutely correct that Rolly is "comic relief". His 'role' in every Rock Fujiyama show I've seen.
Marty is part of the show also. They have on many great guitarists, Hal Ca was very fun!
Both Midori & Miyako each name a guitarist who is deceased, I thought interesting…
???? dreg????
Interestingly, no women were found worthy. I thought it was just kind of funny. Thanks, Glen.
Interesting selection, I know of most of them but the only one that I’ve listened to was Nuno, I did like Extreme and always wanted to see them live. More than words was the first song I learned on acoustic guitar, it took me ages to get the syncopated soundboard taps right! It should be interesting to see who Miyako comes up with.
Saludos Glenn.
