There is no tab in downloads, it would be much easier to follow with it. Thanks.
I follow up to the roots and 5ths. I get that bit. Gets a bit more challenging throwing in the 3rds. I am slowly making sense of it. If i could just know the root notes, i could cobble the inbetween parts together. Im trying to think in groups of four notes at a time

No.
I played in a semi professional swing band for over 10 years, root-5th is absolutely your bread and butter. Trick is to add some vegetables and a little desert from time to time ????
hello Scott, what do you think in such type of music ( jazz walking bass) do you need to have those notes compressed?.
Why can't you write the musical notion for what you are playing? It would save hours of trying to figure out which notes you are playing. Especially because you play the notes differently every time you go around.
Thanlks Scott!!
Thanks Scott!!!
Scott, you drive that thing like a beemer on the windie through the curves while finding the apex of the turns and smoothing out the tighties making them lucies all the while holding the pocket and driving the groove, you are an animal. thanks again!
Great lesson Scott! What are those strings?
bro just deadass gave the sauce bruh
What a hell happened to his left hand? Lefty felt asleep?
glad to be a member, mate 🙂
good learning
gold!!!!
thanks scott!
So how come Air on a G String is an iconic Walking Bass line, even though it is composed from Octaves and passing tones? Not a lot of obvious Root-5ths in there.
Awesome, thanks…
what are those? DR Black beauties?

Ok, its hard to tell what notes you are playing by watching your hands. that being said, the 5th of the c scale you were playing looked like you were playing the octave. the 5th is only one string up. unless your 5th is not the 5th note in the scale. i thought it was. so your videos make absolutely no sense to me. i learn very easy but you make it very hard because what you are doing and saying appear to be to very different things. please dont take me wrong, i like watching you but i just wish you made sense.
in 10 minutes every day for 2000 years
Everyone: Great video! I learned so much!
Me: what
Excelente!
Well you explain it in 10 minutes, learning it properly took me 1 hour????
