Yes, that is a Brian Regan reference in the thumbnail 🙂

No secrets to hold, I really love this pedal. It’s a great pairing and an easy one to recommend to anyone who uses drive and reverb, who I think is just about anybody.

  • Please try the Zoom Multistomp. It's my favorite. Sounds great. Extremely versitle (can even have two reverbs at the same time, my favorite is Hall with lo-fi) Easy to use. Stereo. Very reasonably priced!

  • Love the Hotwax tattoo!

The reverse reverb is intriguing…never really considered it before.
But, once again, you've got me thinking, and that's no easy task. ????

A little Soul Food crunch into the Phase 99 with some Holy Grail reverse reverb might just be the end of the universe, or the beginning,…hard to say.

  • You can get an Epitome for pretty cheap these days. I got one a few weeks ago and it's loads of fun, especially with the Shimmer mode hidden fun

  • Damn it! I wish I'd stopped to RTFM because I didn't realise this had a routing toggle or an effects loop. Instead I bought an EHX Operation Overlord for stereo post-reverb distortion. This would have done the job!

  • I have 2 Bad Cat Siamese drives!

I couldn't decide on the Black and Gold, or the Gold and Black, so, I made the common sense choice and got both!
    I love that artwork.

Man, that was like a decade ago?

Also, the Hot Wax is rad. I personally prefer the Hot Tubes and Crayon as separate pedals in a chain, but the Hot Wax art is super cool.

  • I wanted to love the Hot Wax but I wish the circuits were in reverse order. I’ve bought and sold 3 Hot Tubes though, can’t get away from that one somehow.

  • Thanks for putting in all the effort researching the name. I always wondered what the heck that was about.
Also always been surprised this pedal isn't more popular. It's a take on one of the most popular overdrives with one of the most popular reverbs.

  • Do a video lesson on the mutron bi phaser because smashing pumpkins put the big muff in the middle jacks of the pedal for siamese dreams album

  • They have better combo pedals like the one with delay chorus and distortion and secret modes that add a lot more effects and there's another one they got I forgot what it is I think a pog reverb and muff maybe id have to look it up but both offer a bit more than just overdrive and reverb

  • My favorite dual pedal is the Keeley D&M Drive. It's been on my board since I started one 2 years ago. That pedal and a Keeley Comp Plus is all I need to play almost any song! I use the Drive side for medium OD, and the Boost side for a clean boost or solo boost.

  • this one was off of my radar entirely- it sounds fantastic under your guide! thanks again for another super-fun exploration.

  • I bought a JOYO Para-Verb based on your video (it arrived yesterday but I haven't tried it out yet.) The Turnip Green is still available, but it's really pricey here. I'll pair my own Soul Food with the Para-Verb. Together they cost less than the TG but they take up about the same space ????

  • This is a great pedal for harmonica because the klon mixes the clean signal with the distorted signal

  • This pedal is actually a shoegaze machine, running the reverse into the cranked drive makes for a good mbv approximation.

  • Turnip Greens. Ha! I like it. Which pedal company can you think of turns out some of the coolest pedal names?

  • Folks who stick to the "correct" pedal order are missing out on a lot of really interesting sounds. Delay/reverb before drive can be absolutely beautiful.

    Cool pedal!
