Did you swap strings for that tone. He used thinner strings back then because it made chording easier

Les had very little in his gear at the time of that song. But he was an overdrive and dist pedal user in the early days.
So it’s in fact, all high end, but gain cranking ain’t it, chief.
Or buy an old ADA processor Les uses
Sounds pretty close! I’mma try this later with my StingRay.
EDIT: Used similar settings on my Fender Rumble 100 and got pretty decent results. Sounded a bit closer to Rage Against the Machine because of my StingRay, but also works great for Primus. Good tone!
