In your opening, one of them sounds awful. I wouldn’t play guitar if that’s what a guitar sounded like on the regular. High end sizzling and cringe worthy.
I understand cheep pedals have a market. But when the sound is as bad as this, I wonder if some pedal companies (Behringer in this case) are selling dreams vs any semblance of reality.
Use your ears people. The Fuzz Bender is a ripoff. It’s a money grab using a similar enclosure and grey color.
Now I have to turn this off asap because there sound is killing me.

Hi. Great demo. It's always fun and informative watching you guys. Was the Fulltone pedal the Fulltone Custom Shop MDV-3 Mini DejaVibe 3? If not which one was it. Also are they still available?
The Klon created that sound, it is right that it has become a myth and deserves that money for collectors. For the rest I love Tumnus, Archer and whoever gives something more, because, in the end we all love that sound. All excellent pedals and we are lucky to have them, the magic of shortening the cables and canceling the dispersion we simply need it.
When playing with the real klon you get placebo effect too
The differences are obvious, one sounded silver and one sounded gold duh
The real klon has a slightly wider eq and roar to it.

I read an article where some reviewer found a pedal (around $65 I think) that had been out for 19 years that sounded just like a Klon, and after that review suddenly aftermarket prices for that pedal skyrocketed to thousands of dollars, and people complained about how he inflated the price with his review, and he fired back with essentially "You had 19 years to buy this pedal but didn't. Learn to play with your ears and not fads."

I have the Centaur and really enjoy it. I also use a $40 Donner Dumbal Drive which sounds great.
Moving the internal trim pots in the 69 Vibe really appears to make a difference. Amazing sounding pedal for under £60 quid, especially having the speed control via a footpedal!

behringer's clones are patchy but the good stuff is amazing! the mutron clones are all bang on, as is the klon. no-one can clone tonebenders (and i have no idea why). but for the price? all of their new issues are superb. for affordable univibe? i bought the NUX voodoo vibe from you. £69 and it is wonderful

Fuzz Bender was better, Klon the same I would say.

El precio actual de los originales Klon es ridiculo, si, pero es por la poca oferta que hay. La investigacion, pruebas y todo lo que eso lleva, a parte de los buenos componentes, es una cosa, pero costaban 300$, lejos de los 5k o mas de hoy, que es absurdo (oferta/demanda, quien pueda lo compra). Lo de Behringer es copiar y hacer la replica, no hicieron la investigacion de nada, solo copian. Y el creador original no los vendia a un precio absurdo como los de hoy en dia.
Pero, no los fabrica mas, o en algun pedido super especial. Se que salieron los KTR, pero son igual de dificiles de conseguir. Asi que, aparte de copiar el nombre y aspecto (reducido), da igual. Tengo el TC Electronic Zeus y es una maravilla.

Yes, on it's own, the Fulltone sounds way more interesting, but the Berhinger sounds closer to a real UniVibe to me (keeping that Breathe sound in mind). 😉 Just my opinion. Great video! I agree on the original fuzz bender sounding way better than the Behringer clone though. 😉
