That was so great. Ellen you are growing up so fast. I'm looking forward to you becoming a household name for bass players. You are already well on your way. My favorite bass there would be the J bass. But I like the 70s spacing . This one sounded more like 60s. Also I would want it to be a 5 string. But yellow is my favorite color…
Personally, I went with a Squire Jaguar as a practice piece because it had a good neck, smooth action, and plenty of tone range. Couldn't beat it for 150 bucks.
Although, my best axe is a 50 dollar pawn shop squire Bronco that I fitted with three sets of p-bass split-coils, and wired it like a stratocaster with a five way switch
That thing makes any sound I want it to.

I would buy the P Bass and throw in a switchable Jazz pickup. Love the humbuckers. They both sounded great for the type of music you played on each. And, I think that's the key – what kind of music you are playing. I do wonder, however… How heavy are they? You're sitting down, so it wouldn't have mattered, but I wonder if they are lighter than my heavy Ibanez ATK, or a Fender Precision or Jazz bass?
