Definitely think the di has more compression and clarity. Cab sounds more genuine and full though. Would depend on the genre for me. I prefer the di for a full record mix situation. But would love to mic a cab for a possibly a slower track where the bass needs to talk more in the mix.
Close. I can hear just a bit more warmth in mic'd cabinet. But more crispness in simulator. Depends on song need.
Honestamente, he encontrado gran versatilidad con los simuladores, especialmente con Tech 21, claro que para cada estilo o gusto puede variar la elección, pero hoy en día son una gran opción en muchos sentidos. ¡Excelente video y muy informativo!
Great comparison! I've never really wanted to ever use just my bass plugged straight into a DI, because I thought it would sound sterile, but you've definitely changed my opinion on that! With the DI soloed, it does certainly sound exposed, but in the mix, it sounds PERFECT! Also, that cab sim was also PERFECT!

You can really hear the difference. They both sound good but the cabinet is fuller and might knock the highs off a bit. Definitely a great demo.
