I received my Dane LE (purple) a couple days ago and played. It’s an amazing pedal. I have a lot of pedal and some of them are very disappointing. The Dane is the real deal.
My Imperial pedal will arrive on May 14.
Which PRS is that? Sounds amazing.
you are such a marvelous musical couple. good talking, great playing love it.
Mr P…… you play like an angel
I don't really understand their giddiness over a clean sound. Shouldn't a good parametric eq and compressor will do the same thing?
How does it sound with-out an amp, and can you use headphones and still get these rich tones?
IMO, I doubt it. My days of stage play are all but over (I am 70) but it would be nice to have a GREAT amp simulator to kick it with at home.
Every plug in style I have purchased, and I have them ALL…are crap.
That includes the NUX, Fender, Boss Katana, vox plug and play etc. If this thing does have tubes and doesn't need and amp, then this pedal would and could be worth the money.
IF, and that's a big IF it sounds just as good here as at home. Just my 2 cents worth. Peace.
It’s gorgeous clean tone. Wow!
Sounds like an amp. Is a smaller single channel version possible?
I love how flabbergasted Pete is..
Always have your shoes match your guitar. Who's with me?!?!
I just received mine today and got it hooked up. WOW!!! I've been using the Laney Lionheart Power Pedal that Tom did with them. I love that thing too. BUT, something about the clean channel on this sounds really rich and lovely. It's taking pedals really well. I felt the same thing with the Laney. They are somewhat different amps, and the sound of the pedals is also very different. Also, the reverb is fantastic on this, and so is the tremolo tremolo. Just a solid package. I'm using these amps as a pedal platform because I write a lot of music for libraries and in film and TV, so I'm mostly recording directly into my computer. Pedals like this have given me a great way to achieve that amp sound without having to buy a massive, expensive unit. I don't need the amp to look cool on stage, and if it sounds the part, then why bother? My only issue with this is that it lacks a power button, unlike the Lane, and it has a slightly darker sound. The knobs get me where I need to go and a little slight EQ on a few pedals in my chain gets me the sound I want, but it's something that stuck out right away. The power button is a real bummer. I mean having to unplug something everytime I shut down my studio for the day sucks. If there's a way I've missed, please let me know. I'd appreciate it. Amps will be a thing of the past sooner rather than later if the Laney and Imperial pedals are any indication of where we could be in 5 years. I mean, once you can grab a Marshall that sounds like a Marshall in a pedal and all of the other amps, who in the hell would really go with that option? Also, one last thing, the tubes do add something to this that is missing a bit in the Laney. It's not SUPER subtle, but it's not something that makes me hate the Laney all of a sudden. Oh, and one more last thing. If you're a jazz musician who plays weddings or has a solo or duo gig on a patio or similar setting, this setup sounds great with a 335 and an archtop. It's so much simpler; bring this thing with you.
I want to hear how it stacks up against modelers. How much, if at all, does having a real tube front end actually weigh into the tone? Put it up against UAD Dream, Quad Cortex, Helix, and Tonex.
Sounds great. What preamp next they will do, Morgan AC20 or Matchless DC-30 maybe?
Loving it. I possibly forsee one in the future….
I would like to use this in parallel with my already have
I wish Vox would make something like this!
Sorry for the stupid question but does anyone know if this pre amp works with the boss gx100 and a FRFR speaker?
I bought the actual amp about a month before this came out. I got this pedal and returned the amp. The effects loop alone is worth it. Also the pedal seems to have more headroom. The amp was amazing. This pedal is sublime.
I love the Andertons channel but here, I didn't understand anything.
Guess I'm not enough of a sound engineer 🙂
Some pedal stuff just goes waayy above my head.
Plug and play is my thing!
Why do I need this I have a deluxe reverb black face and a tone king attenuator, why do I need this? I need this.
Clean and reverb sound great. I was not sold on the gain, but i prefer higher gains so that is perhaps why.
Can we switch cabs ir off and connect it to an UAD Ox?
Anyone got one for sale in UK?
Should get rid of my dream? That is the question
What's ridiculous is these amp sim pedals are starting to cost more than an actual amp
I watch pretty much every gear demonstration that goes up on this channel. It's mostly just for curiosity and entertainment. Rarely do I see one of these videos and think, "I did not know that I needed this, but I NEED this." It happened with the Strymon Cloudburst, the BOSS Katana Gen III, and now this Tone King preamp. I need this.
Wow! I put on my IEMs just before you started changing the IR and, ooft, I was like that Charlie Higson character from The Fast Show that keeps spaffing a load. What a tone. ????
Smartphones costs twice…just for taking and sharing photos that to nobody really matters!!
Might need to switch out the iridium for this beast
Is there anything special with the Celestion G12m from 1971??
Now I'm quite euphoric I didn't sell my Mission Gemini ll Studio FRFR 2×12…
Or my stereo-pedals..
I miiiight even consider selling my Kemper at this point..
Or just occasionally use it as a studio-tool, as it was made to be.
This TK Imperial preamp is a dream come true.
Looking forward to try it with pedals.
I have the plugin of this ,in my opinion is the quality of the reverb it just sings as Pete just demonstrated. Great demo guys.
Digital thing
Wonder how it compares with Neural DSP's Toneking plug-in
So my Tube Driver pedal with the 12AY7 is finally obsolete. but then again so am I
Marshall, please, for the love of all things…team up with these guys and make a plexi version of this.
I like that outfit, Pete! The shoes and watch give it a nice pop of color!
How close does it sound to the combo amp?
ahhh! Gotta start saving up.
Can you pair this with a solid state amp like the quilter 112 cub?
The reverb is ridiculous, i need it!
0:48 got me laugh so hard ????
Zzzz boomer gear
Rumpy Skillson!!!! ????????????❤ love pete
