Depends on the high of strings, there are some acoustic guitars that need that hard press
My strings wont work if i dont press down hard. My strings are not like yours man
I simply just dealt with it till my fingers turned to stone
I tried this advice and it made my strings buzz. I’ll stick with what I was doing.

Well my beginner guitar strings are higher off the neck so I have to press down just a bit harder than normal so that's why it hurts. Lol

um, my guitar is broken…i lightly touch string, strum, and no sound come out 🙁
I think it depends on the guitar? Mine needs hard pressing to work….I've also just begun and still have a lot to figure out lol

Just think of the lines as progress. Keep pressing down and your hands will get stronger

It’s a right of passage and ensures once your fingers get calloused it will no longer hurt.
When you have a permanent scar on middle finger it's more painful
