  • Hey Euge, love ur work man, some really cool information, sounds and playing. I've got a TSL602 60 watt combo, one of the most hated amps they say, I remember when first bought kept blowing fuses, then they made a new circuit board for em, but I didn't buy one, mines just original with the wolverine speakers. I don't know if u know much about them, but if I could get the same tones as u ide be happy . Personally I like Randy's tribute tone, Yngwies old stuff, and Jake E Lee's. I personally prefer the cunch channel to the lead, I assume having a stack would sound better than a combo, but no room. One day maybe. My pedals are, Boss NS2, Boss CS3, Boss GE7, YJM DOD308 OD, YJM MXR OD, ZW MXR OD, RR MXR DS+ Special edition, and the new DOD 250 50th anniversary limited edition. If u have any ideas and settings for the above tones mentioned using these pedals, amp with YJM Maple and Rosewood strats. Ide much appreciate it brother. Thanks, keep up the good work, Theo ????✌????

  • Great video, are you playing here through load box so the sound comes from your monitors? Or it is actual real cabinet sound?

  • I wish amp EQs would give some indication of frequencies they affect… getting a good guitar tone is as much about mixing with the bass as it is about its own EQ balance.
I want to mix it more like i would mix in a DAW where I can make sure the instruments work together rather than compete.
knowing whether my treble knob is centered on 3k or 5k or whatever would be helpful

  • Between Jason Frankhouser and Euge, there is ALWAYS two things you can be sure you will get… 1) Massive chug riffing and 2) MASSIVE tone!!

  • I just feel that more and more people now are spending more time at home retraining for other careers or struggling to pay bills because of living economy.

So people like Euge are breath of fresh air aside to a lot musicians because not only are we all in absolutely total joy with playing our guitars.

But to learn ability as well whilst we’re all at home in our houses/flats developing recording techniques an lot of us can really hone in the skills of our production too.

    Thanks Euge ????

  • awesome. the reactive load box n IR completely got me going back to dialing in tone without using my eyes. For years I’ve had different settings taped onto my DSL100 from different groups at gig volume and basically stopped cranking volume with the plandemic. Your channel is awesome, thx u

  • You’re a great content creator. I clicked on one video yesterday just to hear some JCM800 tones, and now I’m watching my tenth video and subscribing. Great stuff.

  • I set my fireball to very similar levels. I have just always turned the knobs till it sounded metal AF. It just happens to be almost identical to your settings.

  • Hi Euge, very informative and well played as usual. For those of us who don´t have a reactive load and play a ridiculously loud older marshall like my -79 JMP master 2203, getting to the master vol sweetspot is painful for the ears. Someone told me a useful eq-trick, dime the middle and cut pretty hard on treble, bass and presence. Middle on ten seems to push the amp nicely when you cant turn up the master as high you wish. Works for my amp, maybe helpful for someone else????

  • What is Mr. Euge talking about in this video? Always looking forward to seeing you. Much appreciated ???? always.

  • First fact….Got to have a decent amp or you're screwed. I play well and in the mid 80s I had this cheap Dean Markley solid state 30w 1-12 combo. Its sound was just bad no matter how good somebody is/was. It is true what Euge is saying. You can have the best amp in the world and sound terrible if your playing is sub par. Nothing will help you….

  • Hi. Huge Respect Euge 😀 One thing I wanted to say in regards to your excellent amplifier tone videos is: I have never employed an overdrive pedal. I love the sound you get. I love the sounds of others when I like their music as well. I study this stuff as I we are wont to do. My rig is minimal effects-wise. Marshall JVM410JS, Holy Grail Reverb in the loop, wah, tuner, guitar. I use 1 channel for my rhythm and leads (Van Halen-esque) with the 2nd master volume for boost. Another channel is for a hot, plexi sound (Hendrix/Purple – you know). The 4th channel I have the gain dimed and I use that for my occasional forays into DEATH/Slayer etc. territory. I always use slightly hot Alnico II or V pickups. I like the convenience of this setup. If I had another amp I might be inclined to go the route of the 2203/OD approach. It is all so very fun and interesting. And uhh…expensive. 😛

    At any rate, CHEERS man!

  • I never dialed amps in like this before watching you do it. I watched this video and some of your others quite a while back and the other day I noticed myself doing this while dialing things in and I realized at that moment that I was doing the thing Euge demonstrated. Thank you! I love dialing all the way back, then working my way up, just hearing the different shifts that happen over the sweep of the knob. There's always small variation, and then bigger shifts that happen along the sweep. Very interesting!

  • Best video of its kind ever. I have asked many pros why they need a pedal if they used saturated tubes, and no one has answered me. Finally I understand. Thank you so much.

  • Such a fucking good LESSON!!! Damn I'm learning more from these videos than i have ever learned anywhere else!!!! THANK YOU MISTER KING VALO!

  • Why dial in mids so low on the amp and then add a mid-hump OD ad EQ? Is it because of the curve on the amp vs. the pedals?

  • After watching this vid I realized I need an Overdrive pedal. My tone won't sound so flat otherwise. It will definitely help with the pinch harmonics.

  • Very informative. One question. Why didn't the EQ hiss like a snake? My GE-7 sounds like radio static when on.

  • if you don't have good hands, the tubes head will make it stand out even more , tubes amp and touch need to walk together ????????????
