The "active" switch does NOT make the pickups active or passive!, that's just for the headphone amp, you can't make a passive pickup become active unless it has a preamp which this one does NOT have, the electronics are for the headphone amp ONLY, you can even take out the battery and the pickups will sound the SAME!, also, they need to make one with a floating tremolo and better access to higher frets, 24 frets too, also put the truss road adjustment on the end of the neck as there's space for a Humbucker or single coil in the actual neck position, also, the electronics are useless and fragile, you can't modify the volume or switch pots as all is connected to a fragile PCB that takes a lot of space and is just for a headphone amp, that is not needed, many people nowadays have a headphone amp lie the Mustang Micro, Katana Go or Nux MP3, so better use that space for better electronics that are easily modified with regular pots
I'm travelling constantly and shopping for a guitar. In every video about this guitar, it just sounds like "BRRRRRR". I'll buy a regular guitar instead.
Man, Julianna damn good track, nice job! Sub you in Spotify
Perhaps it was perfectly set up because Donner gave it to you for review and didn't want a negative comment in this regard. I received mine yesterday, brand new right out of the box – the action was the highest of any guitar I've ever purchased, just not good enough. I don't expect a guitar to be perfectly set up from the factory but the action was just way to high and higher than any Squire/ Epi I've played at any store. Other than that, the guitar appears to be very well made and solid.
what's the nut width?
Nice. I've been wanting the Sunset one. Shalom. Happy New Year!
Now you can learn to play…
Hello. I have question for you. I was playing on acoustic long time. Now I need to switch to travel guitar. What do you think, the Donner Hush X can create sound like acoustic guitar and replace it?
Excellent video! I got a lot of info from it, and some from the comments too. Thanks a lot ????
I just don't understand why Donner never complete a 2-octave frets. It's just goddamn 2 frets away! But soundwise, it's really nice and portable, planning to buy.
Great vid. Your playing style totally reminds me of all the music I used to listen to back in early 2000's. So good. Thinking about getting this guitar, could you let me know your signal chain? I play direct so always wondering if it will sound decent even though my high quality DI's.
Hi Phillip will Donner Company release a new version of Donner Hush electric guitar?
@philip andrew – can this still be played like acoustic (without the aid of an amp). like the one from donner hush-I?
???? "Promosm"
thanky my friend but can you play this minus the metal guitar things
hey there! love the video, its a great review. just letting you know that your website is inaccessible, it says the account has expired.
Great video! I like how you kept it short and straight to the point. As for the guitar I like the form factor and it looks like good quality. Cleans sound alright although a bit muted, but the distortion is horrendous. Then again I don't think that's what the guitar is designed to do, it's obviously meant to be played with headphones. As a travel guitar it's decent, but that's all it is.
