Royal Blood – Figure It Out (Bass Cover)
Royal Blood Setup.
Pedals used explained during the video. Feel free to ask any questions in the comments.
If you are a bass player and you are into Royal Blood, like I am, this video should help you understand how Mike Kerr gets his bass to sound like an electric guitar and a bass guitar at the same time. Obviously this is a simple example of what pedal setup you need, and Mike Kerr`s pedal board has many more effects and options, but the setup in this video is a good starting point.
Fender ABY splitter pedal
POG – Octave Pedal
DigiTech – Whammy Pedal – for second octave UP
Hope you enjoy it.

MY GUY OUT HERE USING A RICKY FOR ROYAL BLOOD! FUCKING LEGEND
Are you familiar with the Boss GT-10b? Trying to make this thing work for the Mike Kerr sound, but need help. One question I have about your DigiTech for the extra octave. Are you using the digitech to go +24? Is your Pog 2 just doing the +12 octave?
What happens at @1:00 mark? Sounds like a second tone gets added but you don’t press a pedal.
Tutorial? LOL
Goood but still a little too bluured and too deep to my ear
Hi! Cool video! I built my pedalboard using it) I put together a band when I heard Royal Blood, but I couldn't figure out how to do a similar bass split, and you showed me, and I also use a Fender splitter and a POG-2. By the way, our creativity: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BvLY_z93_kI
Good job.Why did you remove the neck pup?
Awesome, plus extra points for the gorgeous Ric!
So your running B to the Pog out from the Pog to the Whammy the where is that going and A where is that going direct to the head and assuming the middle is your bass? very cool video and song
Awesome, which tuning are you using?
You can reach the second octave up without needing the whammy, in case you don't have a second octaver or pitch shifter. Cool video
When you went 1 more oct up with the whammy, wasnt is possible to set a preset in the pog 1 and 2 oct up and step on it when needed and dont even use the whammy?
Safe to say that this guy has figured it out. ????
Hi, do you split your signal back into one or two seperate speakers. One speaker with the octave guitar sound and one speaker with bass sound? Greetings
Do you use only an amp? ????
Greeeeeeat. I think you have done it in the simplest and even in the best way. Good job ???? ???? ????
awesome
I would get a noise suppressor in their somewhere, if you have the money to do so
Well played!!!!! Sounds great!!!!
This guy seems like he will break up with high school girl named Knives then date a girl with pink hair that has 7 deadly exes
Ive done the reverse of this with a guitar, a Whammy 5 and a Drop pedal, works decently as well!
But bass is bass 🙂
Must all equipment be red?
Great cover mate! ????
Damn that is a fucking cool ric never seen someone do a single pickup config
how to mix both sounds, bass and git amp, better together and make them sound as one? maybe use two octavers?
You killed it!! Great job with the cover and the setup is wayyy simpler than other youtubers (while being fantastic).
