1970s Peavey Century 120 (Series 120) Amp Bass Sound Demo

The Peavey Century 120 was a single-channel solid state bass amp produced in the 1970s. Despite the simple control layout, it is capable of a wide range of excellent tones ranging from punchy cleans to thick overdrive.

Signal chain in order: P Bass + Peavey Century 120 + Fender Rumble 410 + Carvin D44 + Focusrite Scarlett Solo.

  • This may be a stupid questing but I’ll ask anyway: Is there two inputs because one is for active basses and one is for passive basses? If so, which is which?

  • Love these so much, i got 3 of em x) The sound in my head & couldn't be happier – recorded my band's first album with this (through a 70's peavey 115 cabinet), & gigged plenty times (though i do take my GK 400 Rb more often due to weight, & also packs same style of punch as the century) – These are great sleeper amps 🙂 Love the demo, true showcase of what it can do

  • I used to have two of these mean mofo's. They got stolen @#$%! Still looking for "new" ones. In Europe, that's not as easy as in the States.
