Freshman Apollo 3DC Electro-Acoustic Cutaway Review / Demo – Guitar Interactive Magazine

http://www.iguitarmag.com Giorgio Serci reviews the Freshman Apollo 3DC Dreadnought Electro Acoustic Cutaway guitar. This beautiful sounding guitar is natural finish with inlaid logo and dots, a tortoise style pickguard, a cutaway for easier access to the higher frets, the guitar is also equipped with a state of the art Fishman Presys Duel blend pickup system!

The Apollo features a solid AA grade Sitka spruce top, Moahogany for back, sides, neck and for binding the body, headstock and fingerboard. Add a Rosewood fretboard, bridge and gold Grover (die cast machiene heads) and you get the rather quite handsome guitar!!

  • Got a Freshman FA1DE that I can't stop playing. Something quite rewarding about being Scottish and playing a Scottish guitar. Got it 2nd hand for £50, badly needed a clean and a set up but the frets were hardly marked. Maybe a present that never got played. I've made up for that since acquiring it. Any way to date these by serial? I'm AAAF20462

  • I have this guitar. It's simply stunning and very easy to play. The action is close and the tone is very nice.

  • Good review sir, I'd bought one of these  before I saw your review. I'm pleased to say that it's as good as you said it was. Went to another guitar shop today and tried a couple costing twice as much (or more) one was actually worse in terms of build quality (dam those Mexicans! 😉 and a couple were as good as but certainly no better. A very nice musical instrument, you won't find better for the price.

  • I just can't get over how good this acoustic sounds for under £500 AND it has a pretty good pickup system. I think this may well be my next purchase. 🙂
